I haven’t reviewed a Pattaya blowjob bar in nearly a year. After reviewing the last of the blowjob bars in Bangkok a few months ago it almost seemed as if the mission to give an overview of every pickle polishing pub in Thailand was coming to a successful end. Looks can be deceiving. As the recent blowjob bar bulletin published here indicates there are plenty reviews to come and probably even more in depth coverage too.

The 007 club is located a few doors down from Club 4 on Soi Full Love Inn. The ownership, staff and uniform have all changed since Club 4 was reviewed on this site in 2014. I would say that it gone down in quality a little bit especially when compared to the new bar next door that is under review here.

I’m not sure if the new bar is modeled after its neighbor or what but 007 looks and even operates in a similar way to the old Club 4. It is an elongated and private place that requires a ring of the door bell to enter. The lights are dim and there is a nice cool blue color scheme to the place. A few decorations around reference James Bond but it is not overdone or anything approaching cheesy theme bar territory. There is a large bar just inside and to the left with plenty of stools. The wall to the right has a smaller counter and more stools where some of the women on staff like to hang out.

There seem to be at least ten ladies on staff at any given time even in the afternoon when 007 first opens its doors to the public. The working women are generally attractive and there is a nice variation of looks. There aren’t any really old, unattractive or overweight women on the team as far as I can tell.

The gals at 007 wear tight belly shirts and matching short skirts. Colors are rotated so that sometimes they wear black clothes and other times they wear white. Unlike the old set up a few steps over the women at this club do wear undergarments but otherwise the uniform is pretty similar.

The women can appear a little shy toward new customers who don’t belong to the regular customer base which seems to be made up mostly of French and other European expats but they are warm and pleasant once the ice is broken. Most of the ladies obviously like to have a good time and can speak English fairly well considering how unlikely it is that any of them have ever studied the language.

Customers can buy drinks for themselves at the bar at prices that at normal levels for Pattaya. They can also buy lady drinks for the women working at the bar but thankfully the ladies aren’t in the habit of begging for them. Most are quite comfortable chatting with punters without expectation or demand though obviously any effort such as buying them a drink is appreciated.

The shop that houses 007 stretches far beyond the edge of the bar. Past the last stools there is a bathroom on the left and several large private areas on the right. These lounge areas contain big white couches interestingly separated by mirrors. There are also curtains suspended above that allow each couch to be cordoned off from view.

The opening paragraph and the category this post is listed in should give a good idea of the standard level of service that is provided at 007. The going rate for a pole smoking session on the ground floor is about the same as it is in all similar establishments in the area once the sum total is calculated. Spending private time with someone on staff costs 300 Baht ($8.50 USD) which is something like a bar fine plus an additional 500 Baht ($14 USD) payment given directly to the gal after the event. There are also private rooms available for the same cost. Women willing to provide full service will expect 700 to 1000 Baht rather than the regular 500 and all the women appear willing to work together in teams on request.

All in all the 007 bar is a pretty nice place. Even though it is located away from the main action on the beach it draws guys around the clock. It doesn’t get overly crowded but there are enough people going in and out to keep it lively. The surroundings are well done and everything is kept nice and clean. The staff is large enough to handle the task at hand, attractive, friendly and skilled. Prices are reasonable too. There’s really nothing to complain about even if it is not completely perfect. I give it a very solid four stars.

Cambodia is often described as a major sex tourism destination in the mainstream press. I’m not sure if that is simply a result of its location in Southeast Asia or a product of the unsavory reputation the country developed after the mayhem and chaos of the nineteen seventies and eighties. While there are certainly people who travel to Cambodia with the purchase of sexual services in mind I don’t think they outnumber the millions of visitors who travel to the country to see Angkor Wat. Even a town like Sihanoukville which has a substantial foreign popular only has a very limited adult nightlife scene.

On the other hand I think the number of travelers that go to Thailand and the Philippines with an eye to shelling out cash for sex probably come close or even surpass the number of visitors that go to those countries to see significant sites or spend time on a beach. I could be wrong. I am not a statistician or tourism expert. This is just my educated guess based on years of travel and research.

Cambodia is one of the countries I have yet to cover in much detail on this website though this is not due to a lack of information. It is not alone in that regard but as I mentioned in a previous post that will change in the coming months as an increased in the number of published each month will make room for new material that I hope will entertain the readers.

There are many places in Cambodia where sexual services are sold but collectively they don’t compare to the vast industries of nearby countries like Thailand. There is nothing like an Angeles City go go bar or a Bangkok soapy massage complex anywhere in Cambodia. In some ways the adult entertainment scene is even more conservative than a Western country like the United States. Women don’t dance nude or even in bikinis at any establishment in Cambodia. Things are a lot more low key.

It was not always that way. In the nineteen nineties and early 2000’s when the country was a lot more lawless than it is today some pretty brazen bars popped up in the capital that made it seem as if a new Pattaya could be emerging. It wasn’t long before the long arm of the law cut those sprouts short however. Economic and other factors have managed to kill off a number of less risky businesses in the time since. There are still many establishments around and hostess bars in particular seem to be on the increase but some of the most famous and infamous places in Cambodia’s capital city have gone the way of the dodo bird. Several months ago I wrote about the lost blowjob bars of Bangkok. Today I report on the lost bars of Phnom Penh. This report is especially timely because two of the most well known bars in the city shuttered their doors this year.

Cathouse was the first major hostess bar to emerge in Cambodia. It was founded during the time when UNTAC was administering the country in 1992-93 and kept on operating until the lease ran out a few months ago. Rumor has it that the landlord wanted to turn the building into something more respectable. That very well may be true since the place has been quickly transformed into a high end baby supply shop in the months since Cathouse had its final last call.

I’ve heard it said that Cathouse was variously operated by American, English, Filipino and Vietnamese people over the years though to be honest I don’t know the complete history of the place. Early on it had rooms upstairs but that quickly changed and for the rest of the bar’s time in business it didn’t even have a barfine system in place. Guys who wanted to meet a woman outside of work had to make arrangements with the girl individually and meet during her free time.

The bar opened early in the day, had a full kitchen, charged losers for games of pool and closed at midnight. This along with the large number of Vietnamese woman on staff set it apart from most other bars that came after even though Cathouse was the original. After the Cathouse closed many of the women who worked there went on to work at Mao’s Bar next to the Night Market which operates on a similar basis. A few moved on to the similar Shanghai bar on Street 51 near Golden Sorya Mall and a handful of others went to work at other bars around. Some of the women from Vietnam went back to their countries of origin.

Martini was a bar and more that like Cathouse had a long and storied history. With an outdoor movie theater, a full kitchen, a bar and its own little disco, the place operated for years through relocations and reincarnations before finally closing its doors for good a few months ago.

At one time Martini was on of the only places for foreigners to go for late night food, dancing and dolls who came in the form of a mix of local and Vietnamese freelancers. The business model was undercut by the emergence of more mainstream discos like Pontoon at Golden Sorya Mall and hostess bars in the busier riverside area that stay open until the last customers calls for a check.

I don’t know why Martini closed but the rumor that the lease ran out and the landowner was asking too much money to renew it is probably true. The property where the bar was located is now listed for rent for several thousand US dollars per month even though it is worn down and practically in the middle of nowhere. Some of the freelancers who worked in the bar seem to have moved on to the bar at the Nagaworld Casino but others have disappeared from the scene.

In any event most English speaking punters don’t seem to mind the end of Martini much with many agreeing that it lost its luster years ago. I’m not sure what the Chinese guys that were a lot more common in the last years of the bar’s operation have to say however. In any case a monument to nightlife is now gone. I have no idea what will happen to the dwarf who sat in front of the place asking for money for years but I’ve heard he’s already found new places to prod for paper.

A small on Street 174 near Golden Sorya Mall was being worked on about a month ago. Signage out front reads “The New Martini’s.” This may be a reincarnation of the place but if so the new space is much smaller than the old. In a place like Phnom Penh it is just as likely that someone else would open a bar with a similar name to piggy back off its fame.

Nay Nay Star Bar was a large bar and guesthouse on Street 102 near the riverside established in the remnants of a closed bar. The place stood out by opening early in the day and having rooms upstairs where punters could retire with willing women working in the bar. At one point there were more than a dozen women working the bar though at some point a few years ago there was a bit of an exodus that sent many to look for employment at various hostess bars around the city.

Nay Nay was listed for sale a little while back and was quickly grabbed up by a European guy who gave it a face lift and renamed the place “Valhalla.” It is still the only bar on the street though it does get its share of customers at times. Although it has been given a fresh coat of paint it doesn’t look all that different. The pool tables are still in place and a few women work the bar but things don’t get going until the evening or later and sometimes not all. As far as I can tell the place no longer bills itself as a bar and guesthouse and customers who want to spend time with women working there have to do so off premises.

The most infamous bars in Phnom Penh had shorter but much more eventful histories. Places like Mikado, Sofie’s and the original Le Cyrcee employed dozens of women who offered action either inside or right above the bar. The women at Mikado didn’t wear panties just like the women at the original Club 4 in Pattaya before the raid. In the case of Sophie’s oral services could be sampled for the price of a lady drink right in the bar which was also the way things were at Wild Country in Bangkok’s old Washington Square.

Cyrcee was raided in 2004 not long after it opened its doors. The owner was arrested but released soon after. The bar reopened fairly quickly but the rooms upstairs were customers could previously retire with willing women on staff were closed to the public. Secret Bar still operates today but customers who want to spend time with any of the women who work there have to do so outside of the bar.

Sophie’s was closed sometime in 2007 though I have never discovered the real reason. There’s no note of it in any English language newspaper or website I can find but rumor has it that the police closed the place after complaints from neighbors. I find this a little hard to believe. There are people living in expensive apartments in the middle of Bangkok that have no idea they live next door to blowjob bars even though the are advertised with illuminated signs. Meanwhile Sophie’s was surrounded by pretty poor housing and could only be reached by going through an unmarked door, climbing a flight of spiral stairs and getting let through a locked door by the staff. On the other hand I could be wrong if past reports of similar situations are anything to go on.

Mikado was closed after a raid in 2008 that resulted in a long prison sentence for the owner. The word at the time was that the crackdown was inspired by a Western pornographic website posting a video featuring Cambodian women that was titled something “Whores from Mikado in Phnom Penh.” This sounds feasible but similar videos appeared of women working at other bars in the city that were not subsequently shuttered. Another rumor states that the owner of Mikado had hidden cameras in the ceilings of the rooms in the hotel attached to the bar and sold footage he acquired on video discs in local markets.

Tragically there were reports that some of the women rounded up and arrested in various busts that occurred in the late 2000’s ended up getting abused and even raped in police custody. While I hope these reports are false at least one comes from a very trustworthy expat who spent years in country and plenty more have come directly from sex workers.

As recently as a year ago a bar that looked like every other hostess bar on Street 172 had a short and surprising run as a place where action could be had on premises in a “VIP” back room. It left the scene just as it arrived, seemingly out of nowhere. Apparently the local owner sold it to a foreigner who tried to run it as a regular hostess bar. With reduced staff and no real draw he was only capable of keeping the place in business for a month or two. It closed and was sold to someone else who has reopened it under a new name. Many of the women who worked the originally incarnation of the bar moved on to other hostess bars around the city where any action in the bar is for the most part forbidden. A bar has opened in the same space with a new name but nothing goes on inside other than drinking and games of pool.

Last but not least I will mention Golden Boss. This was a charming local oriented bar on the riverside that was more like a ballroom than a brothel. Local women wearing beautiful dresses did ballroom dances through the night. Some of these women were the wives or boyfriends of local guys and came to enjoy the music of the live band. Others were on their own and looking for customers. Many would go off to private places after a few dances to exchange a bit of sexy time for payment. It was a throwback to older times. While it always had customers I don’t know that Golden Boss was able to compete with other places that opened in recent years. The final straw for the bar was a shooting in 2012. It never reopened and the ball room model seems to have largely died out with the bar.

So that’s it. Quite a few places are gone and will likely never return. Those who love and appreciate the ways of the past aren’t totally out of luck however. Famed freelancer haunt The Walkabout on Street 51 is still in business as is Sharky’s on Street 130. The latter is no longer “the oldest rock bar in Southeast Asia” since it now hosts all sorts of live music but some freelancers still make their way there. Some of them also ply their trade at Nagaworld where they ask unwitting guys for up to twice as much as they do at the shark bar.

Years ago when Rockit Reports was still in its infancy I wrote a post on the ease of finding sex in Hong Kong. Although it was hardly my best work that post went on to become one of the most popular on the site.

I haven’t posted any additional reports on Hong Kong in the years since that post went online. Readers are clearly interested in the Special Administrative Region but my time and energy was sapped by all of the other things I had to write about. This year I plan to remedy the oversight by writing about various venues in Hong Kong along with posts on several other parts of the world.

In my view there is no better way to kick things off than to report on what is as far as I know the only blowjob bar in Hong Kong. While the place uses blowjob previews as a way to get customers excited and encourage them to take a lady out of the bar I think it can still accurately be described as a bj bar since pretty much any guy can walk in off the street and get oral service from a lady right on premises.

Dragon Club is one of several bars in the Wan Chai area of Hong Kong. With a long history of adult entertainment and generally questionable activities Wan Chai continues to be a hot spot mainly for cashed up foreigners. Although located in the heart of Hong Kong there are few if any Hong Kong women to be found. Filipinas make up the bulk of the staff at most bars and Dragon is no exception.

Dragon Club is situated on the edge of the main entertainment area but it is still easy to find. Located right next to Insiders Bar on Fenwick Street the bar is marked by a very large pink neon sign that displays the name of the place along with a picture of an actual dragon.

There is usually at least one guy posted outside of the entrance acting as some sort of security. They are generally amiable and welcoming to guys who decide to pass through the curtains and into the bar.

Once inside customers are confronted with a rather large stage that looks like it came right out of a strip club or Thai go go bar though things are a lot less lively at first glance. Customers seem to be few and far between most times though the place clearly generates money. It is highly unlikely that it would have been around for so long if it didn’t.

Most nights there are four or more Filipina dancers on staff dressed in a sexy set of lingerie. Generally speaking they tend to be quite attractive ladies in their early twenties who haven’t given birth to children. Although the staff rotates regularly it isn’t strange for at least half of the women working to be much better looking than the average gal dancing a go go bar in Angeles City or Manila.

The women don’t actually dance unless there are customers in the bar. This makes sense to me and apparently even to the rather rough Chinese mamasan who runs the place. There are bars in Angeles City where the women are required to dance even when there are no customers in the bar for hours on end. This has always seemed frankly ridiculous to me and I’m sure to the dancers too.

When customers enter the Dragon Club they are quickly greeted by the aforementioned mamasan who will ask them to order a drink. Rather than sit at one of the many stools surrounding the bar and stage however she directs customers to sit in one of two booths situated on either side of the entrance. The reason for this soon becomes apparent.

The wall is mirrored so that customers can see the stage even though are seated with their back facing the show. This allows them to view the dancers on stage while still being generally sheltered from the view of any people who happen to come into the bar making intimate action more easy to deliver.

After a customer takes a seat at one of the booths they are soon joined by one of the dancers. The dancers quickly get comfortable with the customers in the booths by cuddling up against them while the mamasan hoovers in the background asking if they’ll purchase a lady drink. The lady drinks are priced at an expensive 250 Hong Kong Dollars ($32.25 USD) each but the rates don’t seem so unreasonable considering what they include.

After a customer agrees to purchase a lady drink the dancer accompanying him will show her gratitude by giving him some oral action right in the booth. When dealing with new and unknown customers dancers may first ask if it is okay to touch then take out their units. When regulars visit the ladies usually get right down to business.

While none of them can give the best deep throaters of the Bangkok blowjob bars a run for their money the dancers at Dragon are relatively skilled at sucking. This makes sense considering their line of work. Repetition is after all a major method of learning for most people.

The dancers are perhaps most skilled at keeping guys interested without taking them over the edge and sending them scurrying out the door with a sense of sudden guilt. Their usual method is to go back and forth between bobbing up and down and asking the usual questions like “where are you from?” With each drink purchased they perform for five or ten minutes. If they spend too much time asking questions and not enough polishing the pickle the mamasan can often be heard directing them to get back to work from another part of the room. This can be off putting though different people have their own views on the woman in charge. The dancers all seem to privately agree that “mam” is tough though they do seem interested in the work or at least the money that it provides.

When a lady drink starts to empty the mamasan returns almost magically with no shame at all. Sitting right down next to the blowing babe she asks customers to buy additional drinks or take a lady out of the bar for more intimate fun.

After a customer shells out for a second drink the offers for take out become stronger and are often joined by the sucker herself asking for the same. Rates can vary depending on the time and what the mama thinks she can get out of a guy but the average charge for a short time session in a nearby hotel seems to be 1500 Hong Kong Dollars ($193.50 USD). Good negotiators can get this down to 1000 Hong Kong Dollars ($129 USD) when the bar is not busy.

If these prices seem to be on the high side that is because they are. The same kinds of gals would likely go with customers for a lot less in the Philippines though Hong Kong is a different and more expensive place. There are often lots of places including the infamous Fuji Building nearby where guys can get a short time session for as little as 500 Hong Kong Dollars ($64 USD) though that is a different sort of service.

Ultimately the rates are dictated by the market and what people will pay. Apparently there are enough people in Hong Kong willing to shell out close to two hundred American dollars for a few hours with a hot Filipina to keep the prices at that level. Considering how much money some foreign workers in Hong Kong make it isn’t that surprising.

Although the Dragon Club is basically a suck shop the women who work there usually do not finish customers off in the booths. Instead they use it as a way to score short time sessions outside of the bar. If and when a guy is allowed to finish in the bar it is only after an agreement is made with the mamasan for either a set fee or a certain amount of lady drinks.

Dragon Club is a rather interesting place. It is almost like the imaginary blowjob and strip club combo I wrote about in a previous post on ideal sex shops though of course reality doesn’t come close to the fantasy in this case. Things could be done a lot better though there may be unseen circumstances and regulations at play that prevent that from happening. On the other hand it could simply be an issue of management.

The mamasan at Dragon acts a lot like the stereotypical Chinese “dragon lady” and is not afraid to come right out and ask for what she wants. She does seem to be more bark than bite however and customers who are able to firmly assert themselves are able to deal with her even when her approach is rather abrasive. On the bright side a call to pay the bill and leave is generally respected which is a step up from places where staff and management beg guys to stay for “just one more drink.”

Dragon Club is hardly the best place in the world or even in Hong Kong but it does stand out against a background of mostly boring bars nearby. It is unsurprising that many men put it on their short list of places to visit when visiting the area. I give it an average score of two-and-a-half stars.

There are so many stories floating around about guys getting into bad experiences when trying to purchase sex that the subject has almost become a running narrative akin to warning people against dropping the soap. Mainstream comedians even joke about getting into bad situations with sex workers but the guys who get ripped off probably don’t find it so funny.

While punters of all kind can get taken it seems that a lot of problems occur for guys who get drunk and follow strangers. Many accounts of people getting swindled by bars in Kabukicho, Prague and Patpong involve drunk foreigners following street touts into unknown places.

Experience tells me that those who keep stay alert and keep their wits about them usually avoid problems but any adventure in the adult entertainment industry does have at least some potential to end poorly. Obviously this is a real problem that exists and probably will continue unless prostitution is decriminalized.

Tokyo is one of the largest cities on earth but also one of the safest. While some locals say they are afraid of visiting places like the aforementioned Kabukicho at night it is all relative. The same can be said of Singaporeans who fear Geylang. Those who go their entire lives without either being a victim of crime or knowing anyone else who has tend to be more sensitive. For someone who spent their youth in Capetown, Kabul or even the South Side of Chicago, places like Kabukicho and Geylang might seem like something out of a utopian novel.

Although I have explored around every naughty area I could find no one has ever even attempted to scam or scheme me in my countless visits to Tokyo. Even things that people in some areas find harmless or “a part of life” like Manila taxi drivers refusing to run the meter and instead making up their own prices is totally absent. I have seen reports online of people being ripped off in Japan’s capital city but until recently it all seemed pretty distant.

Not long ago a Japanese acquaintance who just moved back home after an extensive period in the United States told me he was taken for a ride at a Tokyo sex shop. And not in a good way. Although he is obviously a native speaker of the language he ended up with a terrible experience and a bill much higher than he expected. His younger age and lack of experience may have contributed to the events but that is no excuse for shady business practices. Even though the Japanese guy in question has no idea that I write for this website I decided to investigate the place he had such an issue with.

Club Kunoichi is something like an involved pinsaro in the Ueno section of Tokyo. Located in an area with many other adult shops around, Kunoichi stations a tout in the street to convince passersby to enter. The touts makes all sorts of promises that are often broken. The shop itself is rather large and has a ninja theme in keeping with its name.

A display board just inside the curtain that serves as an outer door displays pictures of the same kind of attractive women that are seen on the shop’s website. At least some of these women do seem to exist but they are either reserved for regular customers or so busy that they must be nominated to be seen by customers. Of course that is not known until the initial money is already shelled out. There are many options but an average one forty minute session costs 6000 Yen ($50 USD).

Once customers agree pay the upfront fee they are led to a small room inside which is blocked from the rest of the shop with a curtain. There are magazines spread out for customers to read an a glass of clear liquor is provided free of charge. It wouldn’t surprise me if the booze was a calculated move to make punters more susceptible to being talked out their money soon after.

After spending time in the waiting room watching high heels scurry back and forth until the curtain customers are taken to one of several booths. These booths are similar to those in any Japanese blowjob bar but there are curtains that go around them to give some privacy. Curtains aren’t usually seen in Tokyo blowjob bars. The reason often given for this is that they would allow service providers to have full sex with clients which is against the rules and supposedly the law.

Next the customer is greeted in the booth by their assigned service provider. For foreigners and the uninitiated at least there is a good chance this woman will be in her late 40’s or 50’s and looking nothing like any of the women in the shop’s pictures. A cute or young style of dress doesn’t hide this. Nor does the dark lighting. Surprisingly some of these elder statesmen of suck shops can speak English better than almost anyone else in the local industry.

The provider may be coy at first and ask if the customer wants a massage. This time is used to ask for additional services. It is also a time to ask for a lady drink which costs 1000 Yen ($8.25 USD). Any of this can be politely refused but it is easy to see how some people could be pressured into accepting. Although the customers pay to enter they will be asked if they want a “special massage” which comes in various price increments. All sorts of odd extras are also available.

Those who go all in and take up everything offered end up with poor service in any event. The “middle” level of special service appears to be a few minutes of unskilled oral provided through a thick condom while the provider inserts a vibrator into the client’s backside. This runs an additional 2500 Yen. There is a “top” level of service available for more though its anyone’s guess what that involves. For me even gathering intelligence on the place was a painful experience. Although I don’t like to be too negative about any service provider I think it’s fair to make an honest assessment in a place that pushes people into departing from more money than they bargained for. Simply put many men wouldn’t have sexual relations with some of the women assigned to them in this place even if it came with a cash reward.

In my view the only redeemable feature of this place lies in the humor value of its location next to several family dining establishments. Surely the people eating their noodles have no idea that some grandma is pegging a twenty year old client in exchange for extra money next door. I give Club Kunoichi a half-star and that’s only because the system this website uses can’t go any lower.

As mentioned in the bulletin I posted two months ago there are quite a few places in Pattaya that I aim to report on this year even as the coverage on this site continues to expand into new and exciting parts of the world. Unlike some of the newer places on that list M Club has been around for a while. Perhaps due to its location it remains off the radar of many people even though it operates on an interesting model.

M Club is a rather large bar located next to the Maxx Central Condotel on Third Road Soi 14. Although it is a little out of the way it is not far from Bliss Bar which sees its share of customers. The secluded location could even be considered a desirable feature of a place like this especially for those who live locally and prefer a little more privacy than an area like Soi 6 can provide.

The front of M Club is made up of a large outdoor seating area that looks quite nice but doesn’t seem to get much use except from neighborhood cats. The inside of the bar is even bigger than the patio area and it is easy to see that some money was spent trying to make the place look nice. The unique designs involving contorted metal and colored canvas surely set this bar apart from others around town. That’s not an easy feat.

Like most gentlemen’s clubs M Club opens early in the day and allows punters to have a little fun before most of Pattaya’s infamous nightlife scene really gets going. At times the lineup at this place can look better than a shift at some of the smaller go go bars around Pattaya which probably isn’t what most people would expect.

Drinks at Club M are very reasonably priced. At times they can go for as low as 50 Baht ($1.40 USD). The slightly more expensive lady drinks also come with a fair price. Although the women at Club M are happy to sit and talk with customers they don’t push hard for lady drinks. Even though said drinks are not overly expensive this is generally good practice and it helps creates a certain level of comfort that is absent from some other venues. The low level music does the same and is a nice alternative from Walking Street go go bars with gigantic speakers playing music so loud that any kind of conversation is made impossible. At the same tie the laid back atmosphere at Club M makes it perfectly possible to vegetate as well. Regulars can sometimes be seen sipping on a cold drink in silence while staring off into space.

A lot of gentlemen’s clubs in Pattaya have gained reputations as places for guys with local wives to go during the day to escape their domestic situations. I think that may be more true of the places on “the dark side” further east but it could be just as possible at a place like M Club.

Besides providing a place for guys to get away from pestering old birds gentlemen’s clubs in Pattaya are also often set up for adult entertainment right on premises. This provides the kind of discretion that can’t be had when strolling around town with a short time date when on the way to a hotel.

Most of the women working the bar seem happy to join customers in the private booths at the back of Club M when asked. The booths have large couches and comfortable pillows and come complete with curtains that can pulled shut to make things a little more intimate. I imagine that many of the ladies on staff would also be glad to spend time with customers outside of the bar. Women at Club M work to make a living like anyone else but the amount of money they look to make for their time is always within reason and in tune with the rest of the local economy.

On top of the large pool and front patio Club M also has a back patio with a swimming pool where customers and the women on staff alike can cool off. There used to be regular pool parties held at Club M. I’m not sure if they still occur on a weekly basis. Apparently the bar was raided in early 2015 during a pool party though I have no way to know if the act of swimming had anything to do with prompting that. I don’t have any idea was caused it in fact but I do know that the bar reopened soon after and things now look to be back to normal.

To sum up Club M is a large nicely built bar. The location offers almost as much privacy as the nice big booths in the back many might consider to be a great thing even if the bar itself could probably go for a few more customers some days. Club M is a unique place staffed by kind women who aim to please. I give it an above average score of three stars.

I published a review of the original Carre Blanc nearly three years ago at the end of 2014. That shop has since closed with another opening in its place. A new Carre Blanc opened in the same corridor as Club 4, 007 and Pirate’s. Unfortunately I have not been able to cover it until now.

The new Carre Blanc is at the end of the row. It is clearly marked with a large white sign. The front is made of the typical sliding glass door tinted to a very dark black. When customers want to enter they have to ring a bell next to the door.

After entering customers see a large open and very clean main area. This place is much newer and nicer than the old Carre Blanc. It’s world’s apart.

In the center of the floor sits a very large round bar. A petite ladyboy with a huge silicone rack is stationed inside of the bar. She seems to be a manager of sorts. In any event she can speak English well and serve up drinks as ordered at the same kinds of reasonable prices charged by the nearby competition. She also watches what goes on outside the door through a CCTV system that broadcasts to a flat screen television behind the bar.

Additional services seem to be offered anywhere in the bar for those who want it.

The locked doors at the gentlemen’s clubs help feed into a more private environment that allows customers to relax. It is not uncommon to see some semi public action going on in the Pattaya gentlemen’s bars and Carre Blanc is no exception. Still people mind their business and guys who vist the bar generally seem to get along well even when they don’t talk to each other whatsoever. What else would one expect from gentlemen? Although I have been covering the commercial sex scene in Ho Chi Minh City for many years I have only scratched the surface. While many foreigners and even a good number of locals overlook the homegrown sex industry it is in fact massive. There are thousands of shops of various types in the city of Saigon alone where adult services of one kind or another are offered in exchange for cash. None are really open about their services and only a handful are oriented towards foreigners which explains why people used to in your face action of the kind found in Pattaya may not think anything is going on in Vietnam’s largest city.

As I have explained in the past Thailand and Japan are home to numerous blowjob bars. No other country has a large blowjob bar scene but similar businesses do exist in other places. The previously reviewed Dragon Club in Hong Kong is a go go bar where oral sex is also provided to customers. The old hostess bars on Hai Ba Trung followed a name and number model with the name of each bar corresponding to its street address. So “49” was located at 49 Hai Ba Trung. Despite its name Bar 29 is actually located at 27 Dong Khoi in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 1. It is nestled in the midst of mind blowing development with huge pedestrian parks and a massive subway project only steps away. The manager or “mama san” at Bar 29 is very similar to the dragon lady who runs the aforementioned Dragon Club in Hong Kong. She speaks enough English to do her job and is quick to ask anyone who enters if they want a woman to sit next to them.

The women at Bar 29 are mostly average in looks. None are overweight or necessarily unattractive. It is quite possible that a few were real head turned in their earlier years but Bar 29 seems to be a place where women who have aged out of other aspects of the industry end up. After buying a lady drink customers are soon asked if they would like to go upstairs. The manager usually asks any customer who agrees to this for 2,000,000 Dong ($88 USD) on top of several hundred thousand Dong more for lady drinks and tips for the mamasan though this is all negotiable.

Customers who navigate through the fluctuating prices are led up a short flight of stairs to a lounge one level above the street. This area is also kept very clean. On the left side there is an open room with several long couches lining the walls. On the right side there is a square hole in the middle of the wall.

Customers are led through the large square hole into a smaller area with a couch on the right and another on the left. Customers are instructed to sit on the couch to the left while their chosen lady runs off to retrieve her materials.

Upon returning to the cubbyhole the service provider typically strips down and performs oral services in between clinking glasses and toasting the night away. Generally speaking the women at Bar 29 are skilled as their mileage might suggest. Most are also pretty fun loving and easy going which runs counter to the cutthroat image the place has thanks to the management.

On top of oral most of the women at Bar 29 are keen to go the extra mile and perform full service. This is evident since they pack prophylactics along with their wet wipes and other supplies. Since prices are flexible at the bar it is impossible to say whether or not this full service is included in the price the bar charges customers to go upstairs with a woman but suffice it to say that the service providers usually ask for a tip for providing it. Way back in the middle of 2015 I penned a post on a handful of pros in Bangkok who had the skills to perform deep throat on their customers regularly. Ho Chi Minh City has a large adult entertainment scene. As reported in some detail on this site over the years there are several shops around the city catering to guys looking for fun. Due to a somewhat repressive atmosphere most of the shops do not advertise themselves openly. They don’t typically advertise in languages other than Vietnamese either. Because of this many foreigners fail to recognize what is going on around them.

Vietnamese proprietors have developed all sorts of innovative methods to get around the local ban on sex work. One of the things that emerged from the peculiar situation in Vietnam is the hot toc om which look like hairdressers but provide a lot more.

The previously reviewed Thien Phu located at 49 Nguyen Phi Khanh was for years one of the most popular hot toc massage shops among foreign customers in the city. A few months ago that shop closed its doors without even leaving as much as a notice behind. Other similar businesses on the same street still continue to operate.

Phu Ngoc at 68 Nguyen Phi Khanh is located almost directly across the street from the old Thien Phu shop. It is marked by a simple sign with the shops names and some Vietnamese phrases about massage. A Vietnamese man guards the front door and calls out to guys who pass by with a smooching sound.

Men who respond to the kissing calls or otherwise walk into the recessed entrance are let through a sliding glass door into a small barbershop in the lobby where three or four Vietnamese women of average looks can usually be found lounging around. These women typically wear black dresses but they do not have the kinds of tight sexy uniforms the women at Thien Phu used to wear.

After customers select a service provider from among the gals in the barbershop area they are quickly guided up a set of stairs to a higher floor. There they find a row of booths separated from each other with frosted glass. These booths which are similar to those found at Benny’s are on the small side and have room only for a massage table and hair washing sink. The booths are so small in fact that tall customers may find their feet pressed up against the frosted glass walls when they lay down on the massage table.

Once guided into one of the booths customers are instructed to strip down and wait. The service providers then go to gather their supplies like mouthwash and wet naps. Once the providers return they typically provide the kinds of oral services typical of the hot toc massage shops.

While actual services provided ultimately come down to those providing them it can generally be said that the women at Phu Ngoc typically aren’t as adventurous or vigorous as the ladies at 49 Nguyen Phi Khanh used to be. They provide services as expected but they don’t normally go the extra mile as women at the shuttered shop across the street often did. They don’t always take off their entire kits either with some preferring to only pull down the tops of their dresses while with customers.

Once service is completed customers are cleaned up and guided back down the stairs. There is normally no manager around so customers simply pay their service providers directly. The house fee is 200,000 VND ($8.80 USD) and a tip of around the same amount is also expected. Most customers find it easiest just to pay 350,000 to 400,000 Dong altogether on the way out.

Phu Ngoc is a lot like most other hot toc oms in the city. It is one among many similar shops on the same street where it doesn’t necessarily stand out. As more mainstream businesses and residences continue to appear on the street shops like Phu Ngoc may close up or relocate. In the meantime they operate as they have for years though prices have gone up a bit recently. Two stars.

The legendary modified bar at the old Pump Station.

Many moons ago this website published a review of the infamous Pump Station in Pattaya. That write up came when the once popular bar appeared to be on its last legs.

Blowjobs bars are obviously not a part of normal conversation for most people. Those in the know to some degree or another often refer to the “good old days” when bars had cut outs in them so that punters could get sucked off while drinking their beers. I do not claim to know everything there is to know about the commercial sex industry around the world but the only place I know that ever actually had a bar with the aforementioned cut outs was the Pump Station.

Despite that the bar took a sort of nosedive at one point which coincidentally came not long after the cut out bar was taken out of commission. One by one the staff disappeared and the once strong customer base dwindled accordingly. In the middle of the decade it seemed like the Pump Station was destined to become just another Thai massage shop or mediocre restaurant.

Then suddenly the Pump Station closed only to be refurbished and reopen as the new Pump Station 1 with a counterpart located a few doors down called Pump Station 2. Pump Station 1 operates in the original location but it does not follow the same methods as the old Pump Station did during its last days. Apparently there are also plans in the works to open another Pump Station branch over on Soi 6.

The Pump Station 1 is located in one of the many shop house style buildings on Soi 13/2. The ground floor leaves absolutely nothing to imagination as the entire front is open to the street. That means that anyone walking down the road can looking into the bar though they won’t normally see much more happening than perhaps one or two guys having a drink with a handful of ladies.

The few ladies who work at the Pump Station 1 are mainly ladies from the Isaan region in their thirties though there are one or two women in their twenties who work at the bar too. Beauty is of course in the eye of the beholder but most of the gals at the Pump Station 1 would probably be considered average by a majority of guys. Unlike the old Pump Station in its last days there are no extremely large women working at the shop but a few are on the older side.

The management at The Pump Station 1 undoubtedly has something to do with the new look and business model. A floor manager in her thirties with tattooed eyebrows and braces looks over things most days. She is a bit aggressive and can push customers to go upstairs with ladies at times which is a big contrast from the old days when the one or two women on staff would barely look up from their phones if a guy entered the bar.

The cut out bar has not returned to the Pump Station though oral services are still on the menu for 800 baht ($24 USD). Action takes place in the rooms above the bar which are reached from a set of stairs at the back. The rooms are the standard for Pattaya bars of this type which means that they are relatively clean and equipped with a bed and a television. The porn videos present at the old Pump Station seem to have disappeared however.

The actual service at any place with multiple women on staff will be varied but generally speaking the mode of operations at The Pump Station 1 seems to be to get customers off and out in the shortest possible amount of time. Although the place is one of pubs sometimes called a “hands free bar” a lot of hand is used by the ladies who seem to prefer tugging to using their mouths. Unlike most of the similar bars in the country and around the world customers at the Pump Station 1 are often asked or expected to finish on their own away from any orifices.

The Pump Station 1 is a lot more lively than its predecessor was in its last days but it is still nothing like the original Pump that was widely talked about among men around the world back in the days before the internet was so widespread. It may even be due to the things like widespread internet access that places like the original Pump Station and some others like it no longer exist. One star.

Kittens which is certainly not to be confused with nearby Kitten Club is one of the newer blowjob bars in Pattaya. It has been around for a while at this point but it opened long after well known places like Bliss were already established.

While Bliss is a dedicated suck shop Kittens is more of a beer bar type of place that doubles as a pole polishing pub. It looks like a regular open air bar from the street. The staff usually hangs around out front unless there are customers inside buying drinking or otherwise being entertaining.

Located almost directly across the street from The Pump Station on Soi 13/2, Kittens has a staff made up of several Thai ladies who are mainly in their twenties. That means they are decidedly younger on average than there competition across the road.

Most guys who visit Kittens also think that the majority of the women are good looking. More than a few have said that Kittens has a better looking staff than most other bars of the same type in the city. Beauty is ultimately in the eye of the beholder but customers vote with their feet.

Although Kittens is generally recognized as having attractive women on staff it never seems to get crowded. Guys do visit of course but there are always free seats and unaccompanied staff members at Kittens. That seems to be true of nearly every bar in the area though. Perhaps there are just too many bars in Pattaya for any of them to get full outside of special events.

Being a newer bar Kittens still has a relatively nice interior. The bar is more closed off to the street than some others like it thanks to a pair of sliding doors in the front covered with some sort of full size sticker. In that regard Kittens is similar to many of the bars at the top of Soi 6 like My Friend You. It doesn’t offer absolute discretion to be sure but customers at Kittens are less likely to be spotted from the street than guys talking to ladyboy freelancers on Walking Street.

The women at Kittens don’t push hard for extras. Most seem more than content to sit and drink with customers in the bar. That said the usual services are definitely on offer at rates that are comparable with most similar venues in the city. The women working in the bar charge 800 Baht ($24 USD) for oral and 1000 Baht ($30 USD) for full service.

Action does not take place in the bar. As is now the norm in most area places the services are rendered in private rooms resembling bed chambers located upstairs. The rooms are relatively clean and fairly well maintained. The skill levels of the women range from mediocre to average. As far as I know there are no real star performers at Kittens though I may be wrong. At least one of the women has posted pictures of herself with several different farang on social media websites in recent weeks so perhaps she has something special to offer that keeps bringing guys in.

I wrote a review of the original Pattaya Pump Station in 2013. That piece read more like an obituary than a review since the once well known suck shop was on its last legs when the reporting was done.

Later the Pump Station was revitalized and reopened with a new way of operating. I reviewed the refurbished Pump Station two months ago. Today I write about the Pump Station 2 which sits a few doors down from the original.

Long ago I mistakenly announced that I had reviewed every blowjob bar in Bangkok. It turned out I was wrong. As 2017 draws to a close I still have not reviewed every blowjob bar in the capital. I haven’t reviewed all of the blowjob bars in Pattaya either. In spite of that I am still going forward with my mission to write about every pickle publishing pub in the country.

The Pump Station 2 has a clear sign out front with the name of the bar. The bar itself has an open front. There are some chairs inside along with a standard bar off to one side. The staff hangs out inside and occasionally calls out to guys who pass through the street.

There are a handful of ladies working at the Pump Station 2 most days. They tend to be in their thirties. They are mostly average in looks. There aren’t any very overweight ladies on staff like their were at the old Pump Station but super tight fit women aren’t common either.

A wide range of drinks is offered at The Pump Station 2. That is to be expected. They are sold at the kind of rates that are to be expected in Pattaya too. If there’s anything that stands out about the bar itself it is perhaps its mediocrity though to be fair some of the women on staff are among the most energetic gals to be found in that part of town.

Like their counterparts up the street the women at the Pump Station 2 offer oral services in rooms above the bar for 700 Baht ($24 USD). They don’t always openly solicit this service to customers but it is available and it is what once made The Pump Station well known. Short time full service is also available in the rooms above the bar but the women want 1000 Baht or more for that. The bar also charges for use of their quarters.

The rooms above the bar are relatively clean and contain beds and dressers. They look like ordinary bedrooms. The linens are regularly changed and the air conditioners work. There isn’t much more to say.

The mostly average looking women at The Pump Station 2 offer mostly average levels of service. None seem to have any spectacular or special skills. They probably satisfy most of their customers but they don’t necessarily do anything that would set them apart from anyone else doing a similar job in the city.

The staff at The Pump Station once told me they had plans to open more spin off bars in Pattaya including one on Soi 6. There are a lot of bars of this type already operating in the city with new shops opening all the time. I don’t know if The Pump Station name will expand throughout Pattaya. From what I have seen a return to the sad state of affairs witnessed in 2013 is just as likely. Thus goes the bar scene in this part of the world.

The World is an old Bangkok blowjob bar that has been around for years in different incarnations. In reality the bar hasn’t changed much at all but the names or at least the names it has been known by have. Today The World is variously referred too as “Linda’s Place” or “Kob’s Place” by most people who are aware of its existence. That number seems to be decreasing.

Years ago I foolishly announced that I had reviewed every blowjob bar in Bangkok. Even if do not count the new blowjob bars that have sprung up recently there were still other old bars around like Linda’s and Rose Bar that somehow got lost in the shuffle. With this post I would again like to say that I have reviewed every suck shop in the city but I will not be so foolhardy this time around.

The World is located one level above the Star of Light which has also changed names over the years. It is access by a staircase that leads to a row of several bars that saw better days many years ago. Most of the bars don’t even seem to be open anymore in fact.

The door in front of the world has a tinted glass pain in the middle with the names of the venue spelled in English. There are windows on both sides of the door with curtains that are either drawn or open depending on what is going on.

When there are no customers in the bar the women who work at The World usually hang around in front playing on their phones or eating. When there are customers in the bar the women usually join them inside and often lock the door the behind them. Customers who want to enter the bar while it is is locked have to knock on the door. Sometimes that gains them access but other times it does not.

Technically The World opens early in the afternoon and closes around midnight. In reality the hours fluctuate. Most times there are no customers so the women just hang around. At select times the sleepy little bar can actually become pretty lively.

The World is not known for having a large staff or even a staff largely composed of good looking ladies. It is an old bar with a small staff of two or three women and a manager who are also tend toward the older side. The same goes for the customer base which also skews toward the upper ends of the age spectrum. There are always exceptions.

Inside The World is a small bar that looks something like Rose’s one soi over. On the right side there is an old classic style bar with lots of pictures behind it. To the left there is a row of bench type seats with worn out covers and boxes in between to give some kind of privacy. In the back there is a small bathroom and to the right there is a small somewhat private area with a curtain and a throw pillow that doubles as a mattress when necessary.

The bar doesn’t necessarily specialize in oral services though they are definitely on offer. Full service is too for those who know how to ask.

Action can take place in the bar itself or in the private area to the back. It can also take place off premises if the women involved and their managers agree though the prices requested can make the most expensive go go bars look economical in comparison.

Prices for everything from drinks to bar fines seem to be made up on a whim by whoever is in charge at a given time. Sometimes they are reasonable. Other times they are outrageous. Either way most seem to be negotiable. I’ve been told a team of sister own the place and I believe I have met two of them but the faces behind the bar seem to change all the time.

The World is a good example of the kind of bar that once made Patpong a favorite place for punters in the capital city. It’s truly a wonder that the place still hangs on though it must be making some kind money. If it wasn’t I’m sure it would go the way of Washington Square and the lost bars of Phnom Penh.

In some parts of the world blowjob bars in one form or another are a standard part of the pay for play scene. Though they share some commonalities that stretch across borders there also differences between suck shops at both the individual and national levels. I will try to explain how blowjob bars work in different places.

I first published this post at the end of 2012. It seems fitting to update the post now at the end of 2017 as so much information on blowjob bars has been published here over the last five years. This entry consists of a condensed version of the information available in the book “Blow Job Bars: The Complete Report” Those interested interested in the subject should refer to that book.

Blowjob bars

A blowjob bar is exactly what it sounds like: a bar where guys can go to get a blowjob for a set fee. In some places this happens in a private or semi-private booth. In other places services are rendered in a private room. In still other places oral sex is performed right out in the open in plain view of whoever may be around.

Theoretically the women who work at blowjob bars should be better at sucking cock than most others. This is often the case but there are many exceptions. Blowjob bars sometimes act as a place of last refuge for women too unattractive or old to work elsewhere in the sex industry or those in need of a quick buck. Surprisingly the women working at these places regardless of country tend to be quite friendly. As a general role they are even more – and more genuinely – genial than a lot of strippers in countries like the United States.

Thailand

Both Pattaya and Bangkok are infamous for their pay for play scenes. Accordingly there are plenty of places in both cities where guys can get their swords swallowed with little to no hassle. There are at least 1,000 Thai blowjob bar workers.

In Bangkok the most accessible blowjob bar in existence today is probably Wood Bar which was formerly and famously known as Dr BJ’s. The shop is set up a bit like a dentist’s office. Customers walk in and chose a service provider from the lineup. Then they follow their gal to a small private booth that comes complete with a sink and reclining chair. In the booth they strip down, get their dick and balls washed in the sink, then sit down and receive their blowjob.

The price at Wood Bar is 700 baht ($21 USD) for a head job from a “nurse” and 1000 baht ($30 USD) for the same service from a “consultant.” It’s not clear to me what the difference is. Of course there are extras beyond the blowjob available at a higher rate. Customers who ask for full service pay more and get access to a bedroom.

Magic Table is a few doors down from Wood Bar. It’s an old go go bar with elevated stages surrounded by stools. Customers who sit on these stools quickly realize what makes the tables magic. They’re covered with mirrors and reveal that the women dancing in skirts and bikini tops don’t wear panties. Oral service is available in two VIP rooms in the back of the bar for 1000 Baht.

Afterskool is a full fledged go go bar on the Soi Cowboy strip that is also known for extras. In exchange for several lady drinks and a tip of around 1000 Baht some of the women on staff are known to blow customers discreetly in the bench seats or over in the “naughty boy corner” next to the bar.

Lolita’s on Sukhumvit Soi 8 is another well known hands-free bar in Bangkok. It’s been around for a while and the going rate for a suck and shoot there is now 800 Baht ($24 USD) up from 600 Baht just a few years ago. The women at Lolita’s wear plaid skirts and uniform tops and stand in front of their shop waiting for customers. The bar inside is usually empty. Service is provided on chair with pull around curtains in a room upstairs. The bar is easy to see with a neon sign and it is located between the On8 Hotel and a busy 7 Eleven.

Only steps away sits Kasalong on Sukhumvit Soi 6. Opened by a renegade who left Lolita’s the bar is much larger than its nearby competitor and comes complete with a pool table though that doesn’t ever seem to be used anymore. The many women who work at Kasalong wear light blue skirts with matching uniform tops and wait in chairs out front for customers. Service takes place in several private booths upstairs that come complete with sinks and couches that at this point have become pretty worn out. For years Kasalong asked 100 Baht less than Lolilta’s but today it also charges for 800 Baht.

Som’s Haven on Sukhumvit Soi 14 not far from the massive and modern Terminal 21 mall is another BJ bar that was started by a former Lolita’s employee. It is also located in a large building. The many women on staff usually sit out front waiting for customers. Customers can hang out with the gals in the lounge just inside and enjoy cheap drinks or go upstairs to one of the many private cubicles where oral is offered. Som’s is one of the least expensive bar of its kind in the capital city since it charges a mere 700 Baht per session.

Another less popular bar is the Lollipop 1 on Soi 10 next to the Paradiso Hotel. The Lollipop 2 no longer exists but the Lollipop 1 has been keeping the name going for years. The women on staff sit in front of the bar waiting for customers or play pool on the outdoor billiards table. The table seems to get more play than the women though they do offer oral upstairs in the large but very worn out building’s private area. The price is 800 Baht.

Kimochil BJ on Thonglor Soi 3 bills itself as a new kind of blowjob bar. It’s actually more of a massage parlor. Off the beaten path the place has a large lobby where customers are presented with a menu offering various services including a 40 minutes massage and oral happy ending for 1400 Baht ($42 USD) and optional facial ending for 500 Baht more. The private rooms upstairs are a lot less luxurious but perhaps fitting for the situation. They include mattresses on the floor and in suite showers.

There are also some Asian oriented blowjob bars in the Sukhumvit area of Bangkok that tend to hire more attractive but less skilled ladies. They also charge more. Bit Style has gone through several iterations but today it bills itself as a fantasy massage shop. Oral service is still available on benches in private booths at 1300 Baht ($39 USD). The increasingly popular 7Heaven on Sukhumvit Soi 33 looks a lot like a Japanese pink salon and has a lot attractive Thai women in their early 20’s on staff. They charge 1300 Baht for a session with one lady and 2500 Baht ($75 USD) for a double.

Star of Light on Patpong 2 offers a similar service to the Sukhumvit bars though there is a lot less privacy. This little shop contains nothing more than a short bar, two booths and a tiny bathroom. The mostly veteran staff sit outside waiting for customers. They perform their services for 700 Baht either in the bar on the booths or in the bathroom.

One floor up from Star of Light sits the little known The World which is also variously known as Kob’s Place, Linda’s Place and Linda Place. The World is larger than Star of Light but even more worn down. There are only a handful of women on staff including a bartender. Action is variously priced and seemingly negotiable and service takes place either in the bench seats along the wall or in a small curtained off area in the back.

There are two more blowjob bars one street over on Patpong 1. Both are upstairs and have street level entrances guarded by doormen who ring bells to let everyone inside know when someone is headed up the stairs. Rose’s is one of the oldest blowjob bars in all of Bangkok and the staff reflects that. The shop has some bench seats along the walls and a decrepit old bar and not much else but suck jobs are offered right inside for 1000 Baht. Kangaroo is a slightly more modern bar and has a television in the corner playing porn. The handful of women who work there offer oral service for 800 Baht but they are less likely to perform in public. They prefer to use a small room in the back out of the prying eyes of other customers and the ladyboy bartender.

There are no other blowjob bars in Bangkok today that I know of though there were several other blowjob bars in years gone by.

There are many blowjob bars scattered around Pattaya, with big concentrations on Soi Full Love Inn and the open sex market known as Soi 6. They often have names that reveal their purpose. Places like “Pump Station” let you know exactly what they are about. “Kittens” doesn’t have such a straightforward name but the services are identical.

There was a time when customers could enter one of these shops, grab a drink, pick a girl, and get sucked off right at the bar, in a booth or in a semi-private room for a few hundred baht. The public suck stuff seems to have greatly died down though in a few cases it has actually just moved a few feet over.

These bars usually have a bevy of women sitting outside of them waiting for customers. They range in looks from average to over the hill with a few stunners mixed in for good measures. Once in a while a real beauty will work in a Pattaya BJ bar but most of the best lookers are working in go go bars where they can make big bucks.

Soi 13/2 which is also known as Soi Post Office is home to several old beer bars that double as pickle polishing pubs. Golden Girl had a long history on the street before it shuttered in 2014. Two other bars on the street called The Pump Station 1 and The Pump Station 2 operate in similar fashion though they have more women on staff. They charge 800 Baht for oral in private rooms above the bars. Neither of those bars operate like the original Pump Station which had a bar with curtained covered cutouts underneath so customers could get blown while imbibing their beers!

Kittens on Soi 13/2 is a newer bar with a younger and generally more attractive staff. The women are mainly in their twenties and although they always bring it up immediately like their counterparts at Wood Bar they do offer oral services in private rooms upstairs for 800 Baht.

Pattaya’s Soi 6 is home to several short time bars that offer oral services including My Friend You, Full Moon and Click Bar. The price is typically 800 Baht. At My Friend You and Click Bar the services are rendered on couches inside the bar that are only surrounded by flimsy curtains. At King Kong the action takes place in a private room accessed through a secret door in the wall. Customers who want service in a private room above any of these bars have to pay an additional 300 to 500 Baht for the privilege though that also usually includes full service as a matter of course.

The aforementioned Lolita’s in Bangkok once has aspirations of being a blowjob bar chain as evidenced by the Lolita’s on Soi Chaiyapoon in Pattaya. This Lolita’s opened after another Lolita’s on LK Metro closed when the owner passed away. The women on staff wear uniforms like the ladies in Bangkok and offer oral in private rooms with reclining chairs upstairs for 700 Baht. There is also a large bar and a pool table inside the bar that only occasionally gets some use.

The Telephone Bar on Soi Batman and its sister bar Bar de La Poste on Soi Lengkee offer an interesting take on the blowjob bar model. They have locked doors so customers have to ring a bell to gain entry. Once inside every customer who enters or leaves is greeted in unison by the women on staff. When a customer buys a lady drink the women they buy the drink for drops her top and gives the customer access to her breasts. Oral services are available in private areas for 650 Baht ($19.50 USD) and occasionally right at the bar.

Bliss Lounge on Third Road is a blowjob bar in a converted restaurant. Because of that it looks very nice inside with well decorated walls, a big bar and a quality pool table. The women on staff wait for customers in front of the shop and offer oral services in private booths upstairs for 700 Baht.

Soi Full Love Inn has become a sort of blow row in recent years as several Gentlemen’s Clubs have opened in one concentrated area. These clubs are staffed by attractive women who usually wear uniforms of some kind. They are clean and modern and have big bars and lots of semi-private booths. They also have private rooms upstairs. The front doors remained locked until customers rings buzzers to be let inside. That allows for all sorts of activities to happen right on the main floor. Prices are usually 700 Baht for oral on the ground floor or 1300 for more private action upstairs.

At one point there were only two bars of this type on Soi Full Inn. That has changed. The Gentlemen’s clubs on the strip today include Pirates, Club 4, 007, Club Sin, J Club, and the new Carre Blanc.

Other bars around town like the popular Excite Club and Club M also operate on a gentlemen’s club model with oral services available on premises and similar prices.

Tipping at Thai blowjob bars is not expected but some customers do hand over extra cash whenever they feel it is deserved.

Hong Kong

Hong Kong has plenty of prostitution that ranges from the legal to the gray market and beyond but there is only one blowjob bar in the territory. That’s the Dragon Bar which is a go go bar staffed by a handful of Filipinas. There are benches in the two front corners of the bar where women on staff suck off customers in exchange for lady drinks that cost 250 Hong Kong Dollars ($32.25 USD) each.

The service is meant as a teaser to get customers to take women out of the bar at exorbitant prices though customers who request it can be finished off by mouth right in their bench for a negotiated rate.

The Philippines

The day of the blowjob bar seems to have passed in the Philippines. Angeles City had a short street filled with short time bars that used to be referred to as “blow row” but it has for the most part all been shut down.

Customers will still occasionally get oral service inside a go go bar on the Walking Street portion of Fields Avenue but it is much more common further up on Perimeter Road. Even there the service is never a sure thing. Increasingly common bar raids probably has a lot to do with that.

Vietnam

It used to be somewhat common for customers to get oral sex in private areas of Ho Chi Minh City’s hostess bars but that is no longer the case. Most of Saigon’s hostess bars are today nothing more than places for customers to drink in the company of women which the exception of a few places like Bar 29 that appear to be hanging on by a thread.

In Vietnam blowjob barbershops are much more common. Although there are some adult oriented cafes including a few where the staff offers oral to customers the blowjob barbershops locally refered to as hot toc om or cat toc om are much more common.

To be clear, not all barbershops in the country offer oral relief. Most do not even if they have good looking women working in them. Some are legitimate hair salons, some are hand job shops, and some are just places local guys go for eye candy while getting a trim or an ear cleaning. The salons that offer oral range in scope. Some employ only one or two middle aged lady in pajamas. Others are staffed by dozens of skilled and attractive women in their early twenties.

All blowjob barbershops follow a similar model. Customers walk inside and select one of the available women on staff. They then walk to one of several private booths or rooms with a massage table and a sink. They strip down and sit on the table while the gal they’ve selected goes off to collect some wet naps and mouthwash. When the gal returns she washes the customer’s hand and then pulls down her top and her panties and commences to give the customer oral.

After the session completes the customers get dressed and head back to the front where they pay their tab. Most of the blowjob barbershops charge customers between 100,000 and 200,000 Dong ($4.40 – $8.80 USD). The customers are also expected to tip their service providers. Most give an amount equal to the house fee though some will give more.

The blowjob barbershops are completely oriented to local guys but they all accept foreign customers too. The women on staff rarely if ever speak any language other than Vietnamese.

Blowjob barbershops exist all over Vietnam but Ho Chi Minh City is probably home to the most. A short list of these shops includes Benny’s, Phu Ngoc and Tuan Tam. The popular Thien Phu is no longer in operation.

Cambodia

At one point in the not so distant past there were a few bars in Phnom Penh where oral services were offered at incredibly low rates. Those bars have all been closed for years now but they were so legendary that they are still talked about today.

At a semi-secret bar called Sofie’s customers could get a sample suck job while enjoying their beers for a mere $1 US. The bar was sort of hidden from full view of the public but that didn’t prevent it from getting shut down apparently as a result of complaints from the neighborhood.

Cambodia’s commercial sex scene is largely over scandalized by the foreign press. All in all the country is still very conservative.

Customers occasionally receive hand or blowjobs in hostess bars or karaoke parlors but it is rare. There are definitely no specialized suck shops around even if there may be one or two bars with a special room in the back that gets occasional use.

Indonesia

There are no blow job bars in Indonesia but there is a large and vibrant commercial sex industry. That’s true even though the new governor is trying to shut down one of the biggest sex saunas in the country and despite his predecessor closing one of the largest red light districts a little earlier.

While most of the prostitution in Jakarta is aimed at locals, the infamous Blok M is full of bars that are mostly patronized by westerners.

The bars all look like they have seen better days but occasionally they do still draw a crowd.

D’s Place is maybe the most popular of all the Blok M bars, probably because they have a stage where some pretty ladies in bikinis dance around poles. Or it could be because there is a semi-secret room in the back. In that room and even in some dark corners of the bar some of the older women will occasionally perform hand or oral service for customers willing to pay. Because of that I have seen D’s Place described as “Indonesia’s only blow job bar.” I wouldn’t characterize it as such at all, but I am not the only voice in the world.

Public oral service is also sometimes offered in some of the bigger sex clubs when guys tip big money or buy a lot of lady drinks for dancers. Since it’s not the focus of those places, I wouldn’t call them blow job bars either.

Japan

Japan’s blowjob bar scene is perhaps the most notorious in the world. At the very least, it’s the most widespread. In the megalopolis of Tokyo, and a number of other areas, these “pink salons” (or pinsaros) are ubiquitous. Legend has it that all blowjob bars can trace their heritage back the the pink salons of Japan but further research would be required to confirm that.

Originally created to get around laws that officially outlawed only penis-in-vagina penetrative sex in Japan, the country’s suck shops offer quick oral relief at a relatively low cost.

Japan’s pinsaros typically don’t offer private rooms. Apparently this too is a part of not being labeled an adult shop or at least shows that there are no knocking rooms inside.

Most pink salons play cheesy music but at a level much lower than the average night club. The places are open enough that customers can see the backs of other customer’s heads. It’s also common for customers to catch a glimpse or two of a girl walking by or servicing another guy, and occasionally to hear an overly enthusiastic woman sucking away like a Hoover vacuum cleaner.

People in Japan are generally very polite and privacy minded. Customers in pink salons don’t look at each other any more than the average guys looks at the people pissing next to him at a public urinal.

Pink salons are pretty straight forward and all operate on the same model. Customers walk in, pay a set fee to a manager at a front desk, then get led to one of several restaurant style booths in a dimly lit shop. Customer’s who know a service provider by name can request or “nominate” them for an extra fee.

As with anything else in Japan tipping is not expected at the pink salons. In most cases it probably wouldn’t even be accepted.

South Korea

There is no specific blowjob bar scene to speak of in South Korea. Granted there are special karaoke rooms where the women on staff can suck off all of their customers at the end of the session but those aren’t specialized suck shops.

I first wrote about Club 4 in Pattaya way back in 2014. At the time it was a pioneer blowjob bar nestled out of the view of most tourists on Soi Bong Koch 8 which is also locally known as Soi Full Love Inn. Since that time a number of other gentlemen’s clubs have opened on the same strip. One of the latest is J Club.

Even though the original Club 4 has been raided by police time and time again the area that the bar set the stage for has become something of a modern “blow row” in Pattaya. It may be a case of too much in too little space though. Or at least at the wrong location.

I am sure most readers are familiar with the recent talk of a BitCoin bubble. I bet most have not considered the possibility of a blowjob bar bubble however. I fear that point may have been reached. In other words Soi Full Love Inn may have reached the peak of pickle polishing pubs.

I say that because the existence of six bars in the small space seems to have had a negative effect on all of the places involved. A recent tour of these bars revealed severely reduced staffs that in at least a few places approached the skeletal including at Club 4 which despite everything continues to operate.

Now correlation doesn’t necessarily indicate causation but I don’t know why else the clubs would be so devoid of staff. It can’t be the location. Even though this blow row is a little out of the way it still continues to draw lots of guys. In fact it sometimes draws too many guys as customers enter a club only to turn around and walk out when confronted by a staff of two or three ladies.

To its credit J Club does have a sign outside in Thai trying to recruit new staff. I am not sure how many potential workers would see it though since the place is located in a bit of a no man’s land that the average person probably wouldn’t pass by accidentally.

J Club is a nice enough place. It is no better or no worse than the other clubs in the immediate vicinity like 007 though it does seem a bit more confined. The bar is on the right side after entering and there are a few sofas spread out around the rest of the space. Everything is relatively clean as you would expect in a newer bar.

The three or four women on staff don’t seem bound by any kind of uniform so they wear their own assortment of dresses. There are no special clothing related tricks either unlike Club 4 where the women used to walk around without panties or Telephone Bar where breasts are bared for anyone who buys a drink.

The women are all from the Isaan area and in their twenties. Some are more attractive than others. Ultimately beauty is in the eye of the beholder and besides that in places like J Club some customers are more interested in skills than attractiveness.

The usual rooms are available upstairs as with all other similar bars. The rates are about the same too. Oral is typically offered on the sofas downstairs or in the rooms upstairs depending on the desires of the clients. Full service is normally available too but that is of course at the discretion of the service providers.

The normal rates are in effect with oral going for 800 Baht ($25 USD) and full service going for 1000 ($32 USD). A house fee of a few hundred Baht also applies.

J Club is apparently owned by the same group that owns the Nightwish bar over on Soi 6. This group has been able to develop quite a following thanks mainly to a slick internet marketing campaign but their success has clearly not spilled over onto Soi Full Love Inn.

The bar went up for sale on the market almost a year ago where it remains today. There are no for sale signs on the bar but it is listed on some internet sites where an adventurous buyer can snap it up for a mere 2,500,000 Baht ($78,275 USD).

It might be easy to attribute the apparent decline in that area on the presence of too many bars but I don’t know if that is certainly the case. Soi 6 is in fact packed with bars from one side to the other and most are overflowing with ladies. Perhaps something else is at play.

I first wrote about deepthroaters in Bangkok back in 2015. That post got a great response from regular readers but I didn’t make another like it until Autumn 2017. As Rockit Reports moves forward certain traditions have emerged including annual lists of certain types. Club Sin is one of the latest additions to what has become a sort of “blow row” on Soi Bong Koch 8 in Pattaya. The place operates on the same gentlemen’s club model as the other five bars in the immediate vicinity. In local terms that means the bar has a locked door with ladies inside who provide oral services and more to a customer base largely made up of guys who spend a lot of time in the area.

Like the previously reviewed J Club this place is owned by the Nightwish Group. Starting with a bar on Soi 6 that grew in popularity in large part thanks to a slick internet marketing campaign featuring flattering pictures of attractive women on staff the group has come to own over a dozen bars in the city. All of their bars on Soi 6 seem to be doing quite well. The same cannot be said about the two bars they own on Soi Bong Koch 8 which would explain why they have both been up for sale for nearly a year.

Like the other nearby bars Club Sin keeps a locked door. The women inside usually watch the closed circuit camera screens so they see when customers approach. Because of that they normally open the door as soon as someone is in front of it. If they are not watching the camera customers have to ring the door bell to gain access.

Club Sin is nice and clean inside. Since the place went through a full renovation before being converted into a bar this only makes sense. It does not share the long skinny profile of other nearby bars like Club 4 or 007 however. It is more compact with the bar in the front and a row of more concealed booths at the back. The usual rooms are present upstairs too.

There was a time when the bars on Soi Bong Koch 8 were nearly overflowing with women. Most of them were quite attractive too. Things have certainly changed over the years. While there are still some attractive women around the staff numbers have really thinned out. At the same time the presence of twenty-year-olds has become increasingly rare while an abundance of women in their thirties spring up in its place.

Some of this may have to due to with a dearth of women. Both J Club and Club Sin have now hiring signs hanging outside in Thai. At the same time the manager of one of the bars in the immediate area told me of difficulties getting women on staff to actually show up for work. While the atmosphere used to seem generally fun on the strip things now look to be really slowing down. Law enforcement might even have something to do with it.

I have mentioned a past raid on Club 4 a few times on this site. Other bars in the area are also visited by the boys from time to time including very recently when authorities showed up at 007 to check on things.

While J Club mostly has women in their twenties on staff the gals at Club Sin seem to skew a lot older. Some are clearly in their thirties while at least one or two is probably approaching forty years of age or more.

On the other hand there seem to be a lot more women at Club Sin most of the time. While J Club might have three women on staff one day Club Sin will have closer to ten. Of course things can change from day to day so while this is true at the time of writing it may not remain so in the future.

The usual oral and full services are offered by the women at Club Sin either in the booths at the back in the rooms above. The price are the usual too at 800 Baht ($25 USD) for a blow or 1000 Baht ($32 USD) for the full thing. Of course the house also charges a few hundred Baht for use of the facilities along with whatever drink charges customers incur.

Hoang Thanh is one of the many goi dau style hot toc hair salons in Ho Chi Minh City where customers are treated to hot blows without the aid of any blow dryers.

Hoang Thanh is the first of many shops of its kind that one encounters when traveling against traffic on Nguyen Phi Khanh street in District 1 of Ho Chi Minh City. Coming from the end of the street that is home to a busy and buzzing Highlands Coffee shop it is the first shop on the left.

The place is marked with a sign but as it tends to blend with all the others on the strip the defining feature is the nearly round the clock presence of a male tout who shouts at any and all guys who walk around the area in an attempt to bring in customers.

The interior of Hoang Thanh looks quite unassuming. The lobby area is quite small and one could easily walk right in and back out of the place in a matter of seconds thanks to the presence of a door leading out into an alley in back of the shop.

There are a handful of women working at Hoang Thanh most days. They vary in looks from average to attractive and in age from the twenties to the thirties. Most are quite fit and they all look rather nice in their fitted and matching dresses decorated with things like floral patterns.

Once customers walk in they either take whichever service provider is next in line or select one themselves. Then they head up a natural wooden set of steps and into one of the private rooms. Unlike the lobby at Hoang Thanh the individual rooms are much larger than those found at most other similar shops in the vicinity.

Each room contains the standard sturdy massage table and sink. They also have locking doors which provide more privacy than the curtains and booths used at a lot of other places with a similar mode of operations. Some of the rooms even have televisions though they are definitely not up to the level of the VIP and Super VIP quarters in places like Minh Minh Tam.

Services follow the general pattern practiced at most shops of this kind in the city. Customers are stripped and cleaned by attendants more or less in the buff then provided with ongoing oral until completion. After that they are cleaned up again and resuited.

As reported here in the past a sort of standard price of 400,000 Dong ($18 USD) has emerged in the area for foreigners. This is not exactly a set rate however even if a lot of people continue to pay it. Each shop charges a house or ticket fee of around 200,000 VND ($9 USD). Tips are usually expected for the individual service providers too but there is not necessarily any standard or set price.

At Hoang Thanh and places like it local guys tip whatever they want. Many tip between 50 and 100 thousand. Some tip more or less. Some foreigners who either speak the local language or know the system follow in the fashion of the local customers but others just hand over 400 or even 500 thousand on their way out of the shop.

Hoang Duc is one of the many hair salon slash massage shops oriented towards oral offerings on Nguyen Phi Khanh street in District 1 of Ho Chi Minh City. I doubt that the namesakes of either the city or the street would care much for what goes on there but this is today’s reality.

Located at street number 74, Hoang Duc is nestled among several other shops including quite a few that offer that same kinds of services. Still it is somehow rather discreet. Perhaps that is because of the location or the entrance that is recessed back from the street a bit.

The building is of the typically narrow shop house variety but Hoang Duc’s lobby seems to be longer and thinner than most others around. Chairs line both sides of the lobby and they are usually full of women who sit around playing with cards or their phones until a customer arrives.

The women who work at Hoang Duc are for the most part attractive with sexy bodies. Some of the ladies even have manmade mammaries which is a rarity for the street. There are probably ten to twelve women working most times with their ages ranging from the mid twenties to mid thirties. Everyone on staff sports the same flared dress which is a nice touch that probably helps secure business.

All of these kinds of places tend to have a sort of queue where one staff member is always next in line to serve whoever walks in the door. At the same time all of these places also allow customers to chose their own service providers even if that is no explicitly stated.

Nearly all the hot tocs on Nguyen Phi Khanh seemed to be owned either by women or by male and female couples. I can’t be sure if she is the owner of the facilities by the mamasan style manager at Hoang Duc is one of the younger gals around in her position. In my subjective opinion she is also particularly curvaceous and aluuring which is not something I would normally say about a hot toc higher up.

After customers select a customer they are guided up a single set of stairs. That guiding is often done by the aforementioned manager even though she does not service customers herself.

The rooms are large and divided with a screen like curtain. Each room has two sturdy tables inside along with a sink at the head that is meant for washing hair but normally utilized for other types of hygienic practices. The rooms offer quite a bit of privacy when there is only one customer but the same could be said if there was a guy on each table more or less in arms reach of one another.

The standard oral option is offered at Hoang Duc for the same kinds of prices as other places in the immediate area. That means a payment of 250,000 Dong ($11 USD) for the house plus whatever tip the customer wants to give to the service provider. Payment is rendered after services and normally on the way out.

Foreigners have gotten into a habit of paying a combined fee of between 400 and 500 thousand Dong to shops on Nguyen Phi Khanh. Some shops even ask for that amount up front from guys they are not familiar with. In reality though the prices are as described with a required house fee and an optional tip. Locals often tip as little as 50,000 and sometimes they don’t even tip at all!

One thing that sets Hoang Duc apart from some other nearby shops is that at least a few of the women on staff discreetly offer full service to their customers from time to time for a negotiable all inclusive fee of around 1 million Dong ($44 USD).

It doesn’t seem that the management is aware of this since the women who do go the extra mile ask for the money upstairs most likely so that those downstairs won’t see a larger than normal amount of money being handed over by customers. This is somewhat typical in off the radar spots in Southeast Asia and gives at least some credence to claims by entangled massage parlor entrepreneurs that they have no idea what their women do with customers in private.
