When the Lollipop 1 was still around.

Now that I have posted write ups on Bit Style and Magic Table I have finally finished the arduous task of reviewing every blowjob bar in Bangkok. With that out of the way at least until a new place comes along I think this is a proper time to reminisce over the BJ bars of old that are no longer with us. I did manage to review some on this website before they closed but others were not. At least they will get a mention in this post.

At some point the people behind Lollipop 1 on Sukhumvit Soi 10 decided they would branch out and open a Lollipop 2 on Soi 11. It may seem odd for a blowjob bar to try to expand but it has actually happened before. Lolita’s had a few branches going around Thailand but I don’t know which are still functioning. The Lolita’s in Pattaya was sold to someone else at some point. It closed after the owner left and a new Lolita’s opened later. Dr BJ’s also seems to have a bit of a franchising streak as there is a Dr BJ’s Nuru Massage and I’ve even heard rumors that other affiliated establishments were in the works. In any event the creation of the new Lollipop appears to have been a move mandated by the loss of a lease at the original location rather than a dream to spread around the world like Starbucks. At least that’s the word on the street. I can’t know for sure as I don’t usually dig into subjects that don’t involve me. The new Lollipop was nice enough but it was far away from the main Sukhumvit drag and at the end of a small alley located past a fork in the road. The place was so out of the way that the women working it took to standing at the end of the alley at night trying to wave guys in. Believe it or not the new out-of-the-way location didn’t last long and it is now gone. A legitimate spa has taken its place though some would-be customers with out of date info still apparently find themselves in front of it with some regularity. Neither Lollipop location is to be confused with the Lollipop go go in Nana Plaza which recently changed its name to Suckers. Still with me?

Star of Love in Patpong was a dingy affair staffed with some women who had seen better days but it captured the sleazy essence of what the early blowjob bars were about long before refined shops emerged with bright lights, attractive women and international advertising campaigns. I’m not sure when it disappeared but it does appear to be gone.

Mike’s Place located very nearby had a strange set up. The place looked sort of like a cave with rooms jetting off in the back where the fun happened. If this sounds bad you are reading me wrong. Take a look at my review of Mike’s Place from 2013 and you’ll see that I liked the place. While the usual average and below average women could be found they also had a few real beauties on staff and they were enthusiastic about their work, removing their tops and putting in as much time as required while adult videos played on the televisions located in each room. Mike’s shut its doors some time after my review. It’s worth noting that Mike’s Place was located where the Patpong Lolita’s used to be before it too closed down.

Wild Country was another old favorite. It wasn’t exactly a straight forward blowjob bar where customers could walk in, grab a gal, take a seat and get blown away for a set price. Instead customers would get groped and slurped by any number of women on staff as long as they kept buying lady drinks. Since these drinks were very reasonably priced and the action went down right in the open a lot of fun could be had. Sadly Wild Country disappeared when the square it was located in was demolished to make room for progress or in this case another retail and residential development. The smaller Bundy Bar in Queen’s Plaza on Soi 22 seems like it might follow the same model but unfortunately some of the women working there transferred over from Wild Country and are now old enough to be grandmothers. I haven’t investigated further.

As the list piles up the tears start to form. There’s really no need to cry though. Along with slow deaths and sudden disappearances of some suck shops many new establishments have emerged. Dr BJ’s isn’t all that old and other shops like Som’s place are also rather recent entrants to the market. In the last year alone Kasalong and the brand new Bit Style opened and both are very good.

I think I’ve got it all covered at least for now. Does anyone know of anything that I missed?

I still remember the first time I viewed Deep Throat. For those who somehow still aren’t aware it was one of the first porn films to feature things like a plot and acting. Before that adult movies were basically limited to short loops featuring nothing but hardcore action. We’ve now come full circle with the most popular porn of the day being short clips of hardcore action on tube sites but that’s another story all together.

Porn certainly doesn’t need to have a plot to be tantalizing to men and in fact things like poorly read dialogue between scenes can even be a hindrance when one wants nothing more than to jack a quick load out before bed.

I found Deep Throat amazing on first viewing but that had nothing to do with the script. So a fade from black into an office quickly sets the stage for a secretary to blow some visiting businessmen in order to secure the big deal for the company with only a minimum of dialogue. I only have two complaints about Japanese porn. The first is the widely despised mosaic which is hypocritical and bizarre since it covers vaginas and penises but not assholes and semen. Although the establishments they work out of are often hidden right in plain sight it can be a little bit more difficult to dicern which women on staff are capable of conquering mount meat. Aim Mi at Som’s Haven eally developed her abilities in the year or so polished poles. The gal appears able to take it all in for as long as necessary which would explain why she seems be so liked. Twenty something New does just as good if not better which makes sense since she’s been performing the same sort of work for five or six years on a near daily basis. Som’s is also an easy place to make a request since the women there are generally kind and friendly with each other.

Nong at Lolita’s is only in her late twenties but she is an old hand with the ability to go the distance hands free and leave nothing but nuts showing. Her face is pretty and her body also shows signs of child birth in the past but this matters little since she doesn’t disrobe during her sessions. The uniform is attractive enough to make up for that and her skills make it hard for one to think about anything at all let alone complain about a lack of skin. She too can work for long periods of time with no complaints and lots of smiles.

Bim is an even older hand at Kasalong just around the corner. Probably in her mid to late thirties she is friendly even if she is a bit hardened which is certainly understandable considering that she deals with hardened members for a living. Her tonsil touching skills are up to par and then some but there is no sign of even artificial affection given at all. The younger and more attractive Swai and Pout at the same shop who are both in their early twenties show serious signs of skill. When they started neither could do much more than the normal sort of service. Although it wasn’t bad in the least bit it wasn’t up to the level of the some of the pros at the same shop. Nowadays both appear able to go deep and go back and forth for a considerable amount of time which shows an amazing improvement and an eagerness to please or at least earn return customers and tips.

Consultant EE at Dr BJ’s Salon is so renown for her ability to get down on it that her alias on the shop website is “Tak esItd eep.” Anyone capable of putting things together gets the idea quickly. Her looks are also up to par or even past the bar so it makes sense that she is one of the most popular women in the shop. There used to be pictures of her showing her full luscious lips but for whatever reason her face is now blurred out. The problem with double E at least from my perspective is that while she can take it deep she doesn’t like to do it more than once or twice in a session. Having the ability is different than using it or even using it repeatedly for the entire time as someone like Aim Mi or Nong does. Double E seems to prefer going to the VIP room for full service which makes sense since it means more money for her but that’s not really the name of the game at a shop like BJ’s so I’m not a huge fan of her work.

I don’t have a lot of experience at Magic Table so I don’t know of any super talented gals on staff there even though I do have a generally favorably view of the place. The same thing goes for The Lollipop 1 which excels in seediness so much that there probably are some experts working there even if I’m not personally aware of them.

Over in the Patpong section of Bangkok the masterful mouth of Poo at Star of Light can make a man feel like he’s on the moon by disappearing his dong. On the other hand I’ve never seen any women with the ability to eat it all up at nearby Kangaroo. There were one or two at Mike’s just a few feet away but as reported here that shop has closed.

The blowjob bars aren’t the only places around they are just the only places that specialize in oral delights. Although oily massage parlors are more known for the porn star experience than perhaps any other venues in the city deep throat skills can be still tough to find. Most women working oilies can perform well orally but only a few can really gobble it down. Ice at Cherry Massage was one of the best in the business but I have no idea where she is now. Twenty-five year old Mint has taken her place in that regard and has proven that mint can be as cool as ice. If memory serves me correctly both Ja and Cheer at Bamboo Massage can also do it deep.

While I am not personally attracted to members of the third sex I have it on good authority that Julie at Lady Boys Bangkok is also an expert sword swallower though for all I know she may expect her sword to be swallowed in return. I guess even that would be a win-win situation for ladyboys and the men who love them.

That’s the blow by blow account of what I know at least for know. This topic is even more fluid than the industry in general. Things may change at any time.

There’s only so much that can be said about Pattaya Thailand’s infamous Soi 6, but I don’t know how much exactly that is. With all that goes down on that little strip of debauchery it’s possible that an in depth look at the place from top to bottom could require more volumes than Casanova‘s “Story of My Life”.

Bars tend to come and go on Soi 6 as they do anywhere else. A few key locations stay around for the duration. Since Soi 6 is one of the last vestiges of  the kind of debauchery that first made the little town by the bay known around the world the stand out bars that line its streets are worthy of consideration by guys like me.

Full Moon is in some respects like Click Bar (which is located very nearby) in that it’s a sort of blowjob bar with extras. From the outside it doesn’t appear to be anything special. If it was located anywhere else in the world it would draw eyes like a fender bender on the side of a busy freeway. Since it’s buried amidst the sea of flesh and bars that stretch along Soi 6 it doesn’t really stand out.

Full Moon’s sign sits up in the air. It says “Full Moon Beer Bar,” but it isn’t what I’d call a beer bar. I usually reserve that term to describe the countless open air bars all around the city where working women ply their trade.

The small staff at Full Moon tends toward the more attractive and fit for this street. It’s always hard to give a characterization of a staff of multiple women. It’s even more difficult when the women on staff change from one day to the next as is known to happen on Soi 6. All I can do is base my opinion on the average over a period of time, taking into consideration the regulars who have stood by the bar and put in a longer period of time.

Beyond their looks the female staff at Full Moon tends to be a very friendly bunch. I don’t mean that in the way that yell out what guys want to hear to get customers in the bar. I mean that they are cheery and kind. They also like to have fun and most seem quite up for adventure.

When I said earlier that Full Moon was a kind of blowjob bar I meant it. It’s not a dedicated knob polishing facility like Lolita’s and it’s certainly not an open-air in your face suck shop like Star of Light in Bangkok either. Customers who wish to have their sword swallowed can certainly do so, but things are done a little differently.

The interior of Full Moon is done up well enough for the area with dancing poles that are only used for special occasions if at all. Most of the staff hangs out outside until a customer comes in. If a customer wants to go for a full romp that’s available in rooms upstairs at the usual rate. Suck service alone is also available in those rooms at the same rate.

Guys who are too lazy to hike a flight of steps or have some other reason for preferring that their fun take place on the ground floor can ask to be taken to the special side room that is just off the main bar. This little room is very nicely done with red lighting, a dancing pole, two sets of quality couches and strategically placed mirrors that make everything that much more fun.

There doesn’t seem to be a set time limit or any kind of rush on at Full Moon though that could certainly change if the place got really busy or the management brought the hammer down for some reason. On any normal day things are laid back and fun can be had at a very leisurely place. The service providers seem quite fine with that and even better with it if it means they’ll be receiving a larger than normal tip.

Tips certainly aren’t required at Full Moon or anywhere else on Soi 6 but they are always appreciated. A tip probably goes further than a lady drink too since a bar gets a chunk of that.

In general the rates are normal for the street. Customers pay the same thing at Full Moon as they do at places like Click Bar or My Friend You. Service is average or better depending on what it’s compared to.

Full Moon is an above average Soi 6 bar with a relaxed feel and a high quality room on the ground floor for extra entertainment. For these reasons and more it’s a step above a lot of the other bars nearby. I give it three stars leaving room for improvement in the future, like an influx of three dozen 19 year olds with super model looks from upcountry.

New kid on the block.

Blowjob bars have been a topic of interest for me ever since I first found out of their existence many years ago. What sounded like something out of a fantasy land proved to be real and even common in some parts of the world. Japan probably leads in pure numbers of suck shops but there are enough in Thailand to keep an interested party busy investigating for some time. The dozens of posts on the subject of Thai blowjob bars on this very website prove that.

When I published my review of Magic Table back in April I finally finished scoring all of the BJ bars in Bangkok. That doesn’t mean I finished covering the scene however as subsequent posts on shuttered suck shops and expert performers show.

In its current form this website isn’t oriented around short quick updates. Instead it is fueled by more in depth coverage that is published on a semi-regular schedule. Readers can find several new reports here each month covering different parts of the commercial sex industry in detail. They are less likely to find a snippet or quip relaying some short bit of news that may be repeated on countless other websites. Some breaking news has prompted the creation of this piece which preempts the next regularly scheduled post but some more general information also follows.

A lot has happened in the world of blowjob bars over the last year. There is also information that is new to this site but perhaps already known to regulars. While all of the various events and bits of information are not directly related they can be strung together in a post like this to help paint a picture of what the scene looks like today. The hope is that this can be done in a way that is informative and furthers along this website’s sole mission of entertaining the people who visit it.

The famed Lolita’s on Sukhumvit Soi 8 in Bangkok unexpectedly closed its doors. There is no official notice of the reason. A claim was made that the shop was shuttered due to issues with the decrepit old building that houses it but that seems unlikely. If things like broken toilets were enough to close down adult entertainment venues somewhere around half of all such businesses in Thailand would be in danger. Since other suck shops were also hit it seems more likely that higher powers are at play.

Very credible sources say that law enforcement has come down hard on many of the Bangkok BJ bars. According to these sources some regular and irregular visit were made to numerous oral establishments on the Sukhumvit strip. Checks were made for drug use and 18 and 19 year old workers. Anyone who failed drug tests was punished. Any shop that had 18 or 19 year old women around were warned. When repeat visits were made any previously warned shops that still had 18 or 19 year old women around were closed.

Since I did not witness anything myself I cannot confirm this but I have no reason to doubt the information since it was gleaned from multiple people who would have a very good idea of what exactly went on.

Kasalong which is located just next door to Lolita’s has become well established and quite popular. While it seems like it opened just yesterday the bar is now approaching its second anniversary in just a few months. Initially formed by former Lolita’s staff the bar stuck to the old price of 700 Baht ($20 USD) per session while Lolita’s went up to 800. That recently changed however as Kasalong joined the ranks of the 800 Baht ($22.50 USD) club as of a few weeks ago.

Kasalong hasn’t closed down like its neighbor but it has really muted its promotions. The lighted sign is off along with the lanterns out front. There are no longer any women standing outside beckoning in customers and the few ladies inside are wearing regular clothes rather than the old white and blue uniforms.

Several new women joined both the Kasalong and Lolita’s staffs not long ago and before the recent turn down both the day and night shifts at both shops seemed to be larger than ever. Lolita’s also saw the return of the legendary Ma who has more than ten years in the game and the skills to prove it.

Some regular workers at both Kasalong and Lolita’s said things were slow in recent weeks. While the increase in ladies and price may have a little to do with this it seems more likely that the bar is being affected by the same drop in visitors that the entire section of the industry oriented towards foreigners is feeling. With Lolita’s closed at least temporarily Kasalong may get more of the local customer base. Then again it may not. With a blacked out storefront one can hardly tell the place is open. Maybe that is by design.

Where the new and veteran workers put out of action by this recent episode will end up is anyone’s guess. Many of the more experienced ladies have done the circuit and it’s foreseeable that some could end up at some other similar establishment unless the action gets going on Soi 6 and Soi 8 again in the near future.

The Lollipop 1 is still up and running at full speed complete with the big lighted sign just off Sukhumvit that is powered by an extension cord running from a street lamp right on the main road across what is probably one of the most used walkways in all of Bangkok.

Som’s Haven is still running normally too. From the looks of it nothing has changed even though the stench of suppression is in the air. The place continues to have one of the best looking staffs of any similar place in the city even if there are never more than a dozen women around at any given time. It is also holding on to the old 700 Baht fee which makes it one of the least expensive hands free bars in the area.

The Lolita’s branch in Hua Hin seems to be done for. A while back it was bought by a guy who remodeled the place and opened it up quite a bit. This must not have been a success since the place first stopped offering the sort of service Lolita’s was famous for then stopped offering any kind of service whatsoever. It is now but a memory.

For whatever reason the attempt at launching a Lolita’s chain didn’t take off very well. If everyone shared my preferences it would have turned into the next Starbucks but I guess I’m not in the mainstream. Of course one of the locations outside of Bangkok survived but it has no connection to the original owners.

The Lolita’s in Pattaya seems to be the last pickle polishing pub in Thailand that is still charging the old 600 Baht ($17 USD) rate for service. While this was once regular across the industry most shops now charge 700 or 800. A few charge even more. Bit Style in Bangkok now charges 1400 ($40 USD) for a half hour session but that seems to last a whole thirty minutes and allow those capable off getting off twice in a row to do so.

Club 4 in Pattaya was raided by the military back in February. A video of the raid is posted online but I won’t link to it as it clearly shows customers and women on staff. Obviously this invasion of privacy is uncalled for especially considering the results of the raid. There was very little reporting on the incident after the initial event but from what I can gather it seems that it all came to naught with no one being arrested or charged with anything. The club remains open today though it appears to be under new ownership.

Things continue to operate pretty much as they did when I published a review of Club 4 though the employee roster has changed rather dramatically. A woman with enormous breasts is now stationed behind the cash register but she does not offer any special services. The regular staff does that though generally speaking there seem to be less women around yet a higher percentage of less attractive women among them. To make matters worse the level of service seems to have gone down slightly as well though semi-public action is still available in the large couches with curtains on the main floor. The rooms upstairs are still available too. The short skirt uniform remains in effect but the women now wear panties underneath. For all of these reasons if I was going to review Club 4 today I would probably knock a star or two off of the score I gave it when I reviewed the place back in 2014.

A place called 007 opened up right next to Club 4 earlier in 2015. While this out of the way location may seem like a strange place for one bar let alone two both places seem to be fairly busy so whoever is in charge obviously knows what they are doing. This club which for whatever reason attracts a lot of French customers has a larger and more attractive staff than its closest competitor. The floor plan is the exact opposite of the neighbor next door with a bar in the front and large booths with curtains in the back. This 007 club is clean and nicely decorated and the women working there are friendly and skilled. I plan to review this little gem in full in the very near future.

An even newer place called Pirates Club opened next to 007 earlier this month. It is being billed as a “hostess club” but I have a strong suspicion that it may follow the pattern set by its neighbors. I haven’t had a chance to visit yet but I plan to stop by the next time I am in town.

Club M in Pattaya is one of a few out of the way places generally described in the area as a gentleman’s club though I think it fits just as nicely into the BJ bar category. This place was reportedly raided in February as well with the customers and every woman working there being taken to a local police station. The foreigners reportedly had to show their passports or copies of their passports but were then free to go. The women were reportedly given piss tests. I repeat the word reportedly so many times because the information I received was all second or third hand and I have to way to verify it. As far as I can tell nothing about this was ever reported in the English-language press.

In any event the bar is still open today and operates in the same way that it always has. The place is huge and it appears even bigger due to its small staff and customer base. The large seating area outside is always empty but the relatively attractive women who work there seem happy to make use the couches with attached curtains in the back when an interested customer arrives. That should help explain why the place is mentioned in this report. Club M is another Pattaya establishment that will be reviewed here on Rockit Reports soon.

Telephone Bar in Pattaya seems to have branched out and opened a second location. The new bar is actually located inside of the old Bar de la Poste which used to be called something relating to Traffic. Confusingly the Bar de la Poste sign is still outside but there is a telltale miniature replica of the red phone booth at the entrance of the original Telephone bar near the door that lets people know what kind of place it is. The new location is a lot closer to the main action being only a short walk from LK Metro and Soi Bukhao.

This Telephone Bar 2 is spacious and clean. There are ten ladies working during the day and even more in the evening. They follow the original Telephone protocol which means they take their tops down for any man who buys them a lady drink. Oral services are also available at the same rate. There are two “smoking sections” with high bars where customers can sit and get serviced by a woman down below but the ladies on staff seem to much prefer going to work on the large couches in the private areas in the back. The place certainly deserves a review and will be covered here in the coming months.

Le Private located right next door looks like any nondescript beer bar based in a building. It actually does fit into the category under discussion here though. While there are only ever a handful of women on staff many are happy to provide the usual services on the couch surrounded by a curtain back by the pool table. Some of their skills could use a lot of work and they all seem to prefer to go a private room upstairs in any event.

Excite Club is another bar that sprang up some time rather recently. Located in a small building on Soi 23 near Soi Bukhao the place is livelier than the exterior might lead one to believe. Inside of the privacy doors customers find a small bar, seats near the wall, more seats in the back and a nice large private couch setup where magic can be made. The place has a large staff considering its size and most of the women working there are quite attractive. While the women aren’t aggressive they all seem to be quite nice and have decent skills. This is another place deserving of a full review and it will get one soon.

The Pump Station in Pattaya has been redone and looks a lot more lively than it did when I wrote a review of the place that seemed more like an obituary. The place has more of an open beer bar vibe now. The staff has grown to include ten or more women and this has brought in a fair amount of customers most nights. It appears to be one of the most “happening” BJ bars at the moment but it remains to be seen what the the service is like now.

Finally the women working at Bliss Lounge in Pattaya have received new uniforms. The old purple plaid skirt and white shirt has been replaced by a purple plaid skirt and purple shirt. Otherwise things seem to be pretty much the same as they were when I reviewed it back in early 2014. This news may seem insignificant in the wake of some of the other information that appeared above but attention to detail is important. It seems business at Bliss Lounge must be good or at least steady since the owners shelled out for an across the board work suit upgrade.

The next Blow Row?

Nearly a month ago I published a Thai blowjob bar bulletin necessitated by events. That report mentioned the closure of two blowjob bars in Bangkok and the opening of a few new suck shops in Pattaya. In the time that has passed more news has developed. I was also able to gain more information that I present to you here.

There have been no public pronouncements as to why Lolita’s and Kasalong in Bangkok were closed to begin with but that is par for the course in the regional adult industry. Keeping things is a sort of legal limbo seems to be the way it goes and that is probably by design. Places that operate openly for years are suddenly closed by authorities only to be reopened again soon after with little or no explanation or reporting. Deals and agreements are made behind close doors and that is about as far as regulation goes.

When the two bars first closed various rumors of the reasoning behind it all floated around the grapevine. Some said the closures were due to the exaggerated student style uniforms the women at both places wore. Others said it was because eighteen and nineteen year old women were found working. Since some other blowjob bars are openly advertising nineteen year old staff members in school style uniforms this all seems unlikely but there’s no real way to tell. Workers were more open than managers but stories still conflicted to the point that all the sordid details and dealings will probably never be fully revealed.

While Lolita’s has a provocative name there is a good chance the original proprietors had no real idea of the connection to the infamous book of the same name. The staff there like most blowjob bars in the country tends to be on the older side of the adult industry demographic. One reader tells me a friend of his even refers to the place as “Oldita’s.”

In any event both bars have now fully reopened and the women are once again stationed out in the street in their sexy short plaid skirts and matching shirts. It seems whoever needed to be pleased has been taken care of so things are back to normal at least for now.

After a bit of investigation I have found out that the two shuttered bars were not the only establishments visited in the capital city. It seems that several others including Som’s Haven and even the notoriously nasty Star of Light in Patpong received visits from some people with power though they were apparently found to be in alright shape and allowed to continue operating.

Notably Star of Light has since tightened up their procedures a bit with women pushing customers looking for service into the private bathroom couches rather than going for more open action. They also seem to be stationing someone at the door to give advanced warning of any surprise visitors. This all does look to be related.

Suck shops on Sukhumvit Soi 7/1 may have dodged a bullet. It doesn’t appear that the two blowjob bars on that street have run into any problems at all though the staff at Dr. BJ’s has been much reduced since the glory days just a year or two back. The place still gets the most publicity of any blowjob bar in the world. The misnamed video below recently appeared on Youtube. Although it is in Italian it clearly shows what Dr BJ’s Salon is like including a mostly unenthusiastic staff. The lovely lady known at the bar as “U” appears in the middle looking as good as she ever has and actually smiling a little unlike the other gals seen on screen.

In Pattaya things are a little sunnier in spite of recent heavy rains and several raids over the last year or so.

The previously mentioned 007 Club and the even newer Pirates Club next door in Pattaya are both up and running strong. Reviews of both places are forthcoming with a write up on 007 Club set to be published in a little over a week. With three bars of the same type right next to each other in the middle of nowhere a new sort of under the radar entertainment area has developed that a lot of local guys seem to be relishing in.

Another similar area has grown up around the massage parlors, bars and restaurants of Soi Lengkee and one of its offshoots. Reviews of several of those establishments are also in the works.

The blowjob bars on Soi 6 continue to operate as normal and the refurbished Pump Station on Beach Road Soi 13/2 is as lively as it has been in many years.

Pickle polishing pubs seem to be as popular as ever in the city by the bay. One sure sign of this is the new signage at Club 4. Like the new uniforms at Bliss Lounge reported a few weeks back this reinvestment by the management must mean that business is doing well.

I haven’t reviewed a Pattaya blowjob bar in nearly a year. After reviewing the last of the blowjob bars in Bangkok a few months ago it almost seemed as if the mission to give an overview of every pickle polishing pub in Thailand was coming to a successful end. Looks can be deceiving. As the recent blowjob bar bulletin published here indicates there are plenty reviews to come and probably even more in depth coverage too.

The 007 club is located a few doors down from Club 4 on Soi Full Love Inn. The ownership, staff and uniform have all changed since Club 4 was reviewed on this site in 2014. I would say that it gone down in quality a little bit especially when compared to the new bar next door that is under review here.

I’m not sure if the new bar is modeled after its neighbor or what but 007 looks and even operates in a similar way to the old Club 4. It is an elongated and private place that requires a ring of the door bell to enter. The lights are dim and there is a nice cool blue color scheme to the place. A few decorations around reference James Bond but it is not overdone or anything approaching cheesy theme bar territory. There is a large bar just inside and to the left with plenty of stools. The wall to the right has a smaller counter and more stools where some of the women on staff like to hang out.

There seem to be at least ten ladies on staff at any given time even in the afternoon when 007 first opens its doors to the public. The working women are generally attractive and there is a nice variation of looks. There aren’t any really old, unattractive or overweight women on the team as far as I can tell.

The gals at 007 wear tight belly shirts and matching short skirts. Colors are rotated so that sometimes they wear black clothes and other times they wear white. Unlike the old set up a few steps over the women at this club do wear undergarments but otherwise the uniform is pretty similar.

The women can appear a little shy toward new customers who don’t belong to the regular customer base which seems to be made up mostly of French and other European expats but they are warm and pleasant once the ice is broken. Most of the ladies obviously like to have a good time and can speak English fairly well considering how unlikely it is that any of them have ever studied the language.

Customers can buy drinks for themselves at the bar at prices that at normal levels for Pattaya. They can also buy lady drinks for the women working at the bar but thankfully the ladies aren’t in the habit of begging for them. Most are quite comfortable chatting with punters without expectation or demand though obviously any effort such as buying them a drink is appreciated.

The shop that houses 007 stretches far beyond the edge of the bar. Past the last stools there is a bathroom on the left and several large private areas on the right. These lounge areas contain big white couches interestingly separated by mirrors. There are also curtains suspended above that allow each couch to be cordoned off from view.

The opening paragraph and the category this post is listed in should give a good idea of the standard level of service that is provided at 007. The going rate for a pole smoking session on the ground floor is about the same as it is in all similar establishments in the area once the sum total is calculated. Spending private time with someone on staff costs 300 Baht ($8.50 USD) which is something like a bar fine plus an additional 500 Baht ($14 USD) payment given directly to the gal after the event. There are also private rooms available for the same cost. Women willing to provide full service will expect 700 to 1000 Baht rather than the regular 500 and all the women appear willing to work together in teams on request.

All in all the 007 bar is a pretty nice place. Even though it is located away from the main action on the beach it draws guys around the clock. It doesn’t get overly crowded but there are enough people going in and out to keep it lively. The surroundings are well done and everything is kept nice and clean. The staff is large enough to handle the task at hand, attractive, friendly and skilled. Prices are reasonable too. There’s really nothing to complain about even if it is not completely perfect. I give it a very solid four stars.

Cambodia is often described as a major sex tourism destination in the mainstream press. I’m not sure if that is simply a result of its location in Southeast Asia or a product of the unsavory reputation the country developed after the mayhem and chaos of the nineteen seventies and eighties. While there are certainly people who travel to Cambodia with the purchase of sexual services in mind I don’t think they outnumber the millions of visitors who travel to the country to see Angkor Wat. Even a town like Sihanoukville which has a substantial foreign popular only has a very limited adult nightlife scene.

On the other hand I think the number of travelers that go to Thailand and the Philippines with an eye to shelling out cash for sex probably come close or even surpass the number of visitors that go to those countries to see significant sites or spend time on a beach. I could be wrong. I am not a statistician or tourism expert. This is just my educated guess based on years of travel and research.

Cambodia is one of the countries I have yet to cover in much detail on this website though this is not due to a lack of information. It is not alone in that regard but as I mentioned in a previous post that will change in the coming months as an increased in the number of published each month will make room for new material that I hope will entertain the readers.

There are many places in Cambodia where sexual services are sold but collectively they don’t compare to the vast industries of nearby countries like Thailand. There is nothing like an Angeles City go go bar or a Bangkok soapy massage complex anywhere in Cambodia. In some ways the adult entertainment scene is even more conservative than a Western country like the United States. Women don’t dance nude or even in bikinis at any establishment in Cambodia. Things are a lot more low key.

It was not always that way. In the nineteen nineties and early 2000’s when the country was a lot more lawless than it is today some pretty brazen bars popped up in the capital that made it seem as if a new Pattaya could be emerging. It wasn’t long before the long arm of the law cut those sprouts short however. Economic and other factors have managed to kill off a number of less risky businesses in the time since. There are still many establishments around and hostess bars in particular seem to be on the increase but some of the most famous and infamous places in Cambodia’s capital city have gone the way of the dodo bird. Several months ago I wrote about the lost blowjob bars of Bangkok. Today I report on the lost bars of Phnom Penh. This report is especially timely because two of the most well known bars in the city shuttered their doors this year.

Cathouse was the first major hostess bar to emerge in Cambodia. It was founded during the time when UNTAC was administering the country in 1992-93 and kept on operating until the lease ran out a few months ago. Rumor has it that the landlord wanted to turn the building into something more respectable. That very well may be true since the place has been quickly transformed into a high end baby supply shop in the months since Cathouse had its final last call.

I’ve heard it said that Cathouse was variously operated by American, English, Filipino and Vietnamese people over the years though to be honest I don’t know the complete history of the place. Early on it had rooms upstairs but that quickly changed and for the rest of the bar’s time in business it didn’t even have a barfine system in place. Guys who wanted to meet a woman outside of work had to make arrangements with the girl individually and meet during her free time.

The bar opened early in the day, had a full kitchen, charged losers for games of pool and closed at midnight. This along with the large number of Vietnamese woman on staff set it apart from most other bars that came after even though Cathouse was the original. After the Cathouse closed many of the women who worked there went on to work at Mao’s Bar next to the Night Market which operates on a similar basis. A few moved on to the similar Shanghai bar on Street 51 near Golden Sorya Mall and a handful of others went to work at other bars around. Some of the women from Vietnam went back to their countries of origin.

Martini was a bar and more that like Cathouse had a long and storied history. With an outdoor movie theater, a full kitchen, a bar and its own little disco, the place operated for years through relocations and reincarnations before finally closing its doors for good a few months ago.

At one time Martini was on of the only places for foreigners to go for late night food, dancing and dolls who came in the form of a mix of local and Vietnamese freelancers. The business model was undercut by the emergence of more mainstream discos like Pontoon at Golden Sorya Mall and hostess bars in the busier riverside area that stay open until the last customers calls for a check.

I don’t know why Martini closed but the rumor that the lease ran out and the landowner was asking too much money to renew it is probably true. The property where the bar was located is now listed for rent for several thousand US dollars per month even though it is worn down and practically in the middle of nowhere. Some of the freelancers who worked in the bar seem to have moved on to the bar at the Nagaworld Casino but others have disappeared from the scene.

In any event most English speaking punters don’t seem to mind the end of Martini much with many agreeing that it lost its luster years ago. I’m not sure what the Chinese guys that were a lot more common in the last years of the bar’s operation have to say however. In any case a monument to nightlife is now gone. I have no idea what will happen to the dwarf who sat in front of the place asking for money for years but I’ve heard he’s already found new places to prod for paper.

A small on Street 174 near Golden Sorya Mall was being worked on about a month ago. Signage out front reads “The New Martini’s.” This may be a reincarnation of the place but if so the new space is much smaller than the old. In a place like Phnom Penh it is just as likely that someone else would open a bar with a similar name to piggy back off its fame.

Nay Nay Star Bar was a large bar and guesthouse on Street 102 near the riverside established in the remnants of a closed bar. The place stood out by opening early in the day and having rooms upstairs where punters could retire with willing women working in the bar. At one point there were more than a dozen women working the bar though at some point a few years ago there was a bit of an exodus that sent many to look for employment at various hostess bars around the city.

Nay Nay was listed for sale a little while back and was quickly grabbed up by a European guy who gave it a face lift and renamed the place “Valhalla.” It is still the only bar on the street though it does get its share of customers at times. Although it has been given a fresh coat of paint it doesn’t look all that different. The pool tables are still in place and a few women work the bar but things don’t get going until the evening or later and sometimes not all. As far as I can tell the place no longer bills itself as a bar and guesthouse and customers who want to spend time with women working there have to do so off premises.

The most infamous bars in Phnom Penh had shorter but much more eventful histories. Places like Mikado, Sofie’s and the original Le Cyrcee employed dozens of women who offered action either inside or right above the bar. The women at Mikado didn’t wear panties just like the women at the original Club 4 in Pattaya before the raid. In the case of Sophie’s oral services could be sampled for the price of a lady drink right in the bar which was also the way things were at Wild Country in Bangkok’s old Washington Square.

Cyrcee was raided in 2004 not long after it opened its doors. The owner was arrested but released soon after. The bar reopened fairly quickly but the rooms upstairs were customers could previously retire with willing women on staff were closed to the public. Secret Bar still operates today but customers who want to spend time with any of the women who work there have to do so outside of the bar.

Sophie’s was closed sometime in 2007 though I have never discovered the real reason. There’s no note of it in any English language newspaper or website I can find but rumor has it that the police closed the place after complaints from neighbors. I find this a little hard to believe. There are people living in expensive apartments in the middle of Bangkok that have no idea they live next door to blowjob bars even though the are advertised with illuminated signs. Meanwhile Sophie’s was surrounded by pretty poor housing and could only be reached by going through an unmarked door, climbing a flight of spiral stairs and getting let through a locked door by the staff. On the other hand I could be wrong if past reports of similar situations are anything to go on.

Mikado was closed after a raid in 2008 that resulted in a long prison sentence for the owner. The word at the time was that the crackdown was inspired by a Western pornographic website posting a video featuring Cambodian women that was titled something “Whores from Mikado in Phnom Penh.” This sounds feasible but similar videos appeared of women working at other bars in the city that were not subsequently shuttered. Another rumor states that the owner of Mikado had hidden cameras in the ceilings of the rooms in the hotel attached to the bar and sold footage he acquired on video discs in local markets.

Tragically there were reports that some of the women rounded up and arrested in various busts that occurred in the late 2000’s ended up getting abused and even raped in police custody. While I hope these reports are false at least one comes from a very trustworthy expat who spent years in country and plenty more have come directly from sex workers.

As recently as a year ago a bar that looked like every other hostess bar on Street 172 had a short and surprising run as a place where action could be had on premises in a “VIP” back room. It left the scene just as it arrived, seemingly out of nowhere. Apparently the local owner sold it to a foreigner who tried to run it as a regular hostess bar. With reduced staff and no real draw he was only capable of keeping the place in business for a month or two. It closed and was sold to someone else who has reopened it under a new name. Many of the women who worked the originally incarnation of the bar moved on to other hostess bars around the city where any action in the bar is for the most part forbidden. A bar has opened in the same space with a new name but nothing goes on inside other than drinking and games of pool.

Last but not least I will mention Golden Boss. This was a charming local oriented bar on the riverside that was more like a ballroom than a brothel. Local women wearing beautiful dresses did ballroom dances through the night. Some of these women were the wives or boyfriends of local guys and came to enjoy the music of the live band. Others were on their own and looking for customers. Many would go off to private places after a few dances to exchange a bit of sexy time for payment. It was a throwback to older times. While it always had customers I don’t know that Golden Boss was able to compete with other places that opened in recent years. The final straw for the bar was a shooting in 2012. It never reopened and the ball room model seems to have largely died out with the bar.

So that’s it. Quite a few places are gone and will likely never return. Those who love and appreciate the ways of the past aren’t totally out of luck however. Famed freelancer haunt The Walkabout on Street 51 is still in business as is Sharky’s on Street 130. The latter is no longer “the oldest rock bar in Southeast Asia” since it now hosts all sorts of live music but some freelancers still make their way there. Some of them also ply their trade at Nagaworld where they ask unwitting guys for up to twice as much as they do at the shark bar.

Years ago when Rockit Reports was still in its infancy I wrote a post on the ease of finding sex in Hong Kong. Although it was hardly my best work that post went on to become one of the most popular on the site.

I haven’t posted any additional reports on Hong Kong in the years since that post went online. Readers are clearly interested in the Special Administrative Region but my time and energy was sapped by all of the other things I had to write about. This year I plan to remedy the oversight by writing about various venues in Hong Kong along with posts on several other parts of the world.

In my view there is no better way to kick things off than to report on what is as far as I know the only blowjob bar in Hong Kong. While the place uses blowjob previews as a way to get customers excited and encourage them to take a lady out of the bar I think it can still accurately be described as a bj bar since pretty much any guy can walk in off the street and get oral service from a lady right on premises.

Dragon Club is one of several bars in the Wan Chai area of Hong Kong. With a long history of adult entertainment and generally questionable activities Wan Chai continues to be a hot spot mainly for cashed up foreigners. Although located in the heart of Hong Kong there are few if any Hong Kong women to be found. Filipinas make up the bulk of the staff at most bars and Dragon is no exception.

Dragon Club is situated on the edge of the main entertainment area but it is still easy to find. Located right next to Insiders Bar on Fenwick Street the bar is marked by a very large pink neon sign that displays the name of the place along with a picture of an actual dragon.

There is usually at least one guy posted outside of the entrance acting as some sort of security. They are generally amiable and welcoming to guys who decide to pass through the curtains and into the bar.

Once inside customers are confronted with a rather large stage that looks like it came right out of a strip club or Thai go go bar though things are a lot less lively at first glance. Customers seem to be few and far between most times though the place clearly generates money. It is highly unlikely that it would have been around for so long if it didn’t.

Most nights there are four or more Filipina dancers on staff dressed in a sexy set of lingerie. Generally speaking they tend to be quite attractive ladies in their early twenties who haven’t given birth to children. Although the staff rotates regularly it isn’t strange for at least half of the women working to be much better looking than the average gal dancing a go go bar in Angeles City or Manila.

The women don’t actually dance unless there are customers in the bar. This makes sense to me and apparently even to the rather rough Chinese mamasan who runs the place. There are bars in Angeles City where the women are required to dance even when there are no customers in the bar for hours on end. This has always seemed frankly ridiculous to me and I’m sure to the dancers too.

When customers enter the Dragon Club they are quickly greeted by the aforementioned mamasan who will ask them to order a drink. Rather than sit at one of the many stools surrounding the bar and stage however she directs customers to sit in one of two booths situated on either side of the entrance. The reason for this soon becomes apparent.

The wall is mirrored so that customers can see the stage even though are seated with their back facing the show. This allows them to view the dancers on stage while still being generally sheltered from the view of any people who happen to come into the bar making intimate action more easy to deliver.

After a customer takes a seat at one of the booths they are soon joined by one of the dancers. The dancers quickly get comfortable with the customers in the booths by cuddling up against them while the mamasan hoovers in the background asking if they’ll purchase a lady drink. The lady drinks are priced at an expensive 250 Hong Kong Dollars ($32.25 USD) each but the rates don’t seem so unreasonable considering what they include.

After a customer agrees to purchase a lady drink the dancer accompanying him will show her gratitude by giving him some oral action right in the booth. When dealing with new and unknown customers dancers may first ask if it is okay to touch then take out their units. When regulars visit the ladies usually get right down to business.

While none of them can give the best deep throaters of the Bangkok blowjob bars a run for their money the dancers at Dragon are relatively skilled at sucking. This makes sense considering their line of work. Repetition is after all a major method of learning for most people.

The dancers are perhaps most skilled at keeping guys interested without taking them over the edge and sending them scurrying out the door with a sense of sudden guilt. Their usual method is to go back and forth between bobbing up and down and asking the usual questions like “where are you from?” With each drink purchased they perform for five or ten minutes. If they spend too much time asking questions and not enough polishing the pickle the mamasan can often be heard directing them to get back to work from another part of the room. This can be off putting though different people have their own views on the woman in charge. The dancers all seem to privately agree that “mam” is tough though they do seem interested in the work or at least the money that it provides.

When a lady drink starts to empty the mamasan returns almost magically with no shame at all. Sitting right down next to the blowing babe she asks customers to buy additional drinks or take a lady out of the bar for more intimate fun.

After a customer shells out for a second drink the offers for take out become stronger and are often joined by the sucker herself asking for the same. Rates can vary depending on the time and what the mama thinks she can get out of a guy but the average charge for a short time session in a nearby hotel seems to be 1500 Hong Kong Dollars ($193.50 USD). Good negotiators can get this down to 1000 Hong Kong Dollars ($129 USD) when the bar is not busy.

If these prices seem to be on the high side that is because they are. The same kinds of gals would likely go with customers for a lot less in the Philippines though Hong Kong is a different and more expensive place. There are often lots of places including the infamous Fuji Building nearby where guys can get a short time session for as little as 500 Hong Kong Dollars ($64 USD) though that is a different sort of service.

Ultimately the rates are dictated by the market and what people will pay. Apparently there are enough people in Hong Kong willing to shell out close to two hundred American dollars for a few hours with a hot Filipina to keep the prices at that level. Considering how much money some foreign workers in Hong Kong make it isn’t that surprising.

Although the Dragon Club is basically a suck shop the women who work there usually do not finish customers off in the booths. Instead they use it as a way to score short time sessions outside of the bar. If and when a guy is allowed to finish in the bar it is only after an agreement is made with the mamasan for either a set fee or a certain amount of lady drinks.

Dragon Club is a rather interesting place. It is almost like the imaginary blowjob and strip club combo I wrote about in a previous post on ideal sex shops though of course reality doesn’t come close to the fantasy in this case. Things could be done a lot better though there may be unseen circumstances and regulations at play that prevent that from happening. On the other hand it could simply be an issue of management.

The mamasan at Dragon acts a lot like the stereotypical Chinese “dragon lady” and is not afraid to come right out and ask for what she wants. She does seem to be more bark than bite however and customers who are able to firmly assert themselves are able to deal with her even when her approach is rather abrasive. On the bright side a call to pay the bill and leave is generally respected which is a step up from places where staff and management beg guys to stay for “just one more drink.”

Dragon Club is hardly the best place in the world or even in Hong Kong but it does stand out against a background of mostly boring bars nearby. It is unsurprising that many men put it on their short list of places to visit when visiting the area. I give it an average score of two-and-a-half stars.

There are so many stories floating around about guys getting into bad experiences when trying to purchase sex that the subject has almost become a running narrative akin to warning people against dropping the soap. Mainstream comedians even joke about getting into bad situations with sex workers but the guys who get ripped off probably don’t find it so funny.

While punters of all kind can get taken it seems that a lot of problems occur for guys who get drunk and follow strangers. Many accounts of people getting swindled by bars in Kabukicho, Prague and Patpong involve drunk foreigners following street touts into unknown places.

Experience tells me that those who keep stay alert and keep their wits about them usually avoid problems but any adventure in the adult entertainment industry does have at least some potential to end poorly. Obviously this is a real problem that exists and probably will continue unless prostitution is decriminalized.

Tokyo is one of the largest cities on earth but also one of the safest. While some locals say they are afraid of visiting places like the aforementioned Kabukicho at night it is all relative. The same can be said of Singaporeans who fear Geylang. Those who go their entire lives without either being a victim of crime or knowing anyone else who has tend to be more sensitive. For someone who spent their youth in Capetown, Kabul or even the South Side of Chicago, places like Kabukicho and Geylang might seem like something out of a utopian novel.

Although I have explored around every naughty area I could find no one has ever even attempted to scam or scheme me in my countless visits to Tokyo. Even things that people in some areas find harmless or “a part of life” like Manila taxi drivers refusing to run the meter and instead making up their own prices is totally absent. I have seen reports online of people being ripped off in Japan’s capital city but until recently it all seemed pretty distant.

Not long ago a Japanese acquaintance who just moved back home after an extensive period in the United States told me he was taken for a ride at a Tokyo sex shop. And not in a good way. Although he is obviously a native speaker of the language he ended up with a terrible experience and a bill much higher than he expected. His younger age and lack of experience may have contributed to the events but that is no excuse for shady business practices. Even though the Japanese guy in question has no idea that I write for this website I decided to investigate the place he had such an issue with.

Club Kunoichi is something like an involved pinsaro in the Ueno section of Tokyo. Located in an area with many other adult shops around, Kunoichi stations a tout in the street to convince passersby to enter. The touts makes all sorts of promises that are often broken. The shop itself is rather large and has a ninja theme in keeping with its name.

A display board just inside the curtain that serves as an outer door displays pictures of the same kind of attractive women that are seen on the shop’s website. At least some of these women do seem to exist but they are either reserved for regular customers or so busy that they must be nominated to be seen by customers. Of course that is not known until the initial money is already shelled out. There are many options but an average one forty minute session costs 6000 Yen ($50 USD).

Once customers agree pay the upfront fee they are led to a small room inside which is blocked from the rest of the shop with a curtain. There are magazines spread out for customers to read an a glass of clear liquor is provided free of charge. It wouldn’t surprise me if the booze was a calculated move to make punters more susceptible to being talked out their money soon after.

After spending time in the waiting room watching high heels scurry back and forth until the curtain customers are taken to one of several booths. These booths are similar to those in any Japanese blowjob bar but there are curtains that go around them to give some privacy. Curtains aren’t usually seen in Tokyo blowjob bars. The reason often given for this is that they would allow service providers to have full sex with clients which is against the rules and supposedly the law.

Next the customer is greeted in the booth by their assigned service provider. For foreigners and the uninitiated at least there is a good chance this woman will be in her late 40’s or 50’s and looking nothing like any of the women in the shop’s pictures. A cute or young style of dress doesn’t hide this. Nor does the dark lighting. Surprisingly some of these elder statesmen of suck shops can speak English better than almost anyone else in the local industry.

The provider may be coy at first and ask if the customer wants a massage. This time is used to ask for additional services. It is also a time to ask for a lady drink which costs 1000 Yen ($8.25 USD). Any of this can be politely refused but it is easy to see how some people could be pressured into accepting. Although the customers pay to enter they will be asked if they want a “special massage” which comes in various price increments. All sorts of odd extras are also available.

Those who go all in and take up everything offered end up with poor service in any event. The “middle” level of special service appears to be a few minutes of unskilled oral provided through a thick condom while the provider inserts a vibrator into the client’s backside. This runs an additional 2500 Yen. There is a “top” level of service available for more though its anyone’s guess what that involves. For me even gathering intelligence on the place was a painful experience. Although I don’t like to be too negative about any service provider I think it’s fair to make an honest assessment in a place that pushes people into departing from more money than they bargained for. Simply put many men wouldn’t have sexual relations with some of the women assigned to them in this place even if it came with a cash reward.

In my view the only redeemable feature of this place lies in the humor value of its location next to several family dining establishments. Surely the people eating their noodles have no idea that some grandma is pegging a twenty year old client in exchange for extra money next door. I give Club Kunoichi a half-star and that’s only because the system this website uses can’t go any lower.

As mentioned in the bulletin I posted two months ago there are quite a few places in Pattaya that I aim to report on this year even as the coverage on this site continues to expand into new and exciting parts of the world. Unlike some of the newer places on that list M Club has been around for a while. Perhaps due to its location it remains off the radar of many people even though it operates on an interesting model.

M Club is a rather large bar located next to the Maxx Central Condotel on Third Road Soi 14. Although it is a little out of the way it is not far from Bliss Bar which sees its share of customers. The secluded location could even be considered a desirable feature of a place like this especially for those who live locally and prefer a little more privacy than an area like Soi 6 can provide.

The front of M Club is made up of a large outdoor seating area that looks quite nice but doesn’t seem to get much use except from neighborhood cats. The inside of the bar is even bigger than the patio area and it is easy to see that some money was spent trying to make the place look nice. The unique designs involving contorted metal and colored canvas surely set this bar apart from others around town. That’s not an easy feat.

Like most gentlemen’s clubs M Club opens early in the day and allows punters to have a little fun before most of Pattaya’s infamous nightlife scene really gets going. There are women on staff as soon as the doors open. While they can seem a little shy to newcomers they are friendly people who quickly warm up with a bit of conversation.

Things can and do change quite a bit in the bar scene. Not long ago there were as many as ten women on hand during the day shift at M Club. During the last low season the number of women working during daylight hours was as low as three. With the high season now going again the number of women on staff could easily increase once again.

Whatever the number of women working at any given time they tend to be quite warm even if they are average in looks. Some are even quite attractive. A few may be a few years or pounds past bodacious but at least there are no really terrible looking women at the club. At times the lineup at this place can look better than a shift at some of the smaller go go bars around Pattaya which probably isn’t what most people would expect.

Drinks at Club M are very reasonably priced. At times they can go for as low as 50 Baht ($1.40 USD). The slightly more expensive lady drinks also come with a fair price. Although the women at Club M are happy to sit and talk with customers they don’t push hard for lady drinks. Even though said drinks are not overly expensive this is generally good practice and it helps creates a certain level of comfort that is absent from some other venues. The low level music does the same and is a nice alternative from Walking Street go go bars with gigantic speakers playing music so loud that any kind of conversation is made impossible. At the same tie the laid back atmosphere at Club M makes it perfectly possible to vegetate as well. Regulars can sometimes be seen sipping on a cold drink in silence while staring off into space.

A lot of gentlemen’s clubs in Pattaya have gained reputations as places for guys with local wives to go during the day to escape their domestic situations. I think that may be more true of the places on “the dark side” further east but it could be just as possible at a place like M Club.

Besides providing a place for guys to get away from pestering old birds gentlemen’s clubs in Pattaya are also often set up for adult entertainment right on premises. This provides the kind of discretion that can’t be had when strolling around town with a short time date when on the way to a hotel.

Most of the women working the bar seem happy to join customers in the private booths at the back of Club M when asked. The booths have large couches and comfortable pillows and come complete with curtains that can pulled shut to make things a little more intimate. I imagine that many of the ladies on staff would also be glad to spend time with customers outside of the bar. Women at Club M work to make a living like anyone else but the amount of money they look to make for their time is always within reason and in tune with the rest of the local economy.

On top of the large pool and front patio Club M also has a back patio with a swimming pool where customers and the women on staff alike can cool off. There used to be regular pool parties held at Club M. I’m not sure if they still occur on a weekly basis. Apparently the bar was raided in early 2015 during a pool party though I have no way to know if the act of swimming had anything to do with prompting that. I don’t have any idea was caused it in fact but I do know that the bar reopened soon after and things now look to be back to normal.

To sum up Club M is a large nicely built bar. The location offers almost as much privacy as the nice big booths in the back many might consider to be a great thing even if the bar itself could probably go for a few more customers some days. Club M is a unique place staffed by kind women who aim to please. I give it an above average score of three stars.

Over a year ago I reported that I had finally completed the task of reviewing every single blowjob bar in Bangkok. Today I must report that I was incorrect in that assertion. No new suck shops have popped up in the time since I published my report but it turns out that I did miss one of the originals.

I have long been aware of Rose Bar. In fact I even mentioned it in the list of long gone BJ bars that appeared on this site in April of 2015. For some reason I simply couldn’t find the place in Patpong even though I searched quite a few times. It turns out that it is still right were it was years ago when I first visited but so many other brightly advertised shops and a mess of “night market” street vendors have popped up that the sign for the place was no longer obvious to me.

It’s also possible that I am losing my vision or even my mind with age but I much prefer to blame others for my shortcomings than to take responsibility for them myself. Perhaps I would do well in some official capacity. In my defense I can say that there has been little to no mention of Rose Bar anywhere on the internet over the last few years. It doesn’t even appear on the various lists of blowjob bars in Thailand that are floating around. In any event the place is still operating and thus deserving of a review.

Rose Bar is a dumpy old bar located on the second floor of a building on Patpong 2. It is only steps away from the previously reviewed Kangaroo Club which makes it even more amazing that I didn’t come across the place again after visiting long before this website was even thought up.

The entrance to the Rose Bar is at street level next to a busy little shoe store called “68.” A man sits in a staircase and rings a bell letting the women in Rose Bar know when a customer is making the climb up. I guess this man and his bell may also be intended to alert the women in the bar of impending danger were such a thing arise as well.

Once customers finish their ascent they are confronted with the place which is pretty shabby and dimly lit but not unnecessarily disgusting or out of the order for the area or the industry.

On the right side of the room there is an old bar that is stocked up with drinks of all kinds. On the left wall there are two rows of blue seats or seats that appear to be blue due to the lighting. They are stationed near tables that have roses permanently decorating them.

There are usually only three or four women on staff. One is a slightly thick but warm and bubbly lass who took over the bar at some point in the past. Unlike the managers of other places around town who stopped slurping man stick when they rose to the ranks of ownership this babe still puts in work whenever she is given the chance. The other women are a mix of the slightly older and slightly larger but they are perhaps even more friendly. The years have been kind to them in terms of shaping them into people who seem to be genuinely happy even if they are not bombshell babes.

There’s absolutely no pressure at the Rose Bar. Things are laid back and stress free. At the same time customers who want to sample in the kinds of services that have made the place famous have to do no more than ask for it. The rate is 800 Baht ($23 USD) per session which can take place right out in the bar or in a small private room off to the side. The women are happy to work alone or in pairs. They are also fine with going on with their business as sessions go on as is the ladyboy bartender who seems to be a little on the shy side.

The women who work the bar have clearly put their time in. They are all skilled and willing to work through none are in the ranks of the best blowers of all time. Steady and sufficient would be the way to describe the way most of the sessions go down. The biggest draw is the atmosphere and attitudes of the women which must be why customers keep coming back. At least I think they do sometimes. The bar is usually as quiet as a ghost town even on weekend nights.

As one of the original bars of its kind in Bangkok its almost amazing to see that the Rose Bar is still in business. That’s even more true since the place has to deal with things like the night market, constant competition and the hot sands of the hour glass. Some credit has to be given to the bar for even staying open. Since the service is up to par and the women are friendly it only seems fair to give the place an average score of two-and-a-half-stars. It seems strange that a place like Som’s across town would only score a half star higher since it’s a much nicer place but that’s the way the cookie has crumbled.

With my recent review of the infamous Rose Bar published a few weeks ago I can now finally and definitely say that I have reviewed all of the many blowjob bars in the city of Bangkok. A little further south in Pattaya however there are countless suck shops that have still not been covered here.

While I have reported on several of the knob polishing pubs in Pattaya over the years there remain many more scattered throughout town. While I scramble to get them all covered and still report on the rest of the world new places open left and right. I haven’t yet published a report on the Pirate Club that opened several months ago next to the 007 Club and a new shop has already opened next door!

I hope to remedy this lack of proper coverage in the next few months by publishing several reports on Pattaya. While some think Pattaya is old hat others continue to read and comment on the reports I publish on the city by the bay. My only real goal is to entertain but there is no way to make everyone happy. At best I can satisfy some of the people some of the time. As long as I’m satisfied with my work things will continue.

Excite Club is a small pub located on Soi Excite which is near Soi Bukhao in Pattaya. The place is very easy to find but just as easy to miss. With the opaque front doors closed I doubt many strangers would wander in off the street. In fact I doubt many strangers would even walk up the street. Most people new to Pattaya seem to stick to the same beaten path that leads down the beach and into Walking Street. At least if the crowds are anything to go by.

When I say the club is small I mean it. A single set of blacked out sliding glass doors makes up the entire front facade. Inside there is a small bar with a few stools to the left and another small row of stools to the right. In the back there is a small booth that can quickly be made private. This booth contains a bench and allow for private activities to go down.

While Excite Club offers the same sort of on premise activities that other bars in its category sell it also has a regular hang out sort of feeling commonly associated with beer bars and gentlemen’s clubs like Club M. What I mean is that it is not only a blow and go kind of place. While it certainly could be that for some visitors others probably come just to hang around with some women and kick back drinks.

Drinks at Excite go for the same prices they do at other small bars around town. Suction services go for a mere 500 Baht though an additional bar fee of 300 Baht is required. This brings the total price to 800 Baht ($23 USD) which is in line with most other shops around town like Bliss Lounge.

I first visited Excite after receiving a tip from some guys who frequent the up and coming blow row that houses places like the aforementioned 007, Pirate and the original Club 4. When I showed up I was shocked by the level of talent. Out of the seven women who were working five looked spectacular considering their line of work.

As it turns out the women who work at Excite don’t only look good in their tight little uniforms. They are genuinely attractive. And they are also very skilled in their trade of choice. Or perhaps I should put the word “were” in front of these statements. The first time I visited Excite I was blown away. The second time I visited a few weeks later I was blown off.

It could be that some sort of private party or reunion was going on but during my second pass I watched as a set of older much less attractive women hovered between a few guys getting drunk at their bar and their phones. The atmosphere was completely cold and unwelcoming and a huge change from the original party atmosphere staffed by hot young women that I witnessed early on. Such a change in such a short period is amazing but hardly unheard of in Thailand.

Excite Club is one of many private clubs that have popped up in Pattaya in recent years. Despite it’s small size it appears to have the potential to be one of the more popular and lucrative though that would all depend on how the place is run.

If I only had my first try to go by I would most likely have given Excite four stars or more. The additional knowledge and experience I picked up leads me to give the place three-and-a-half stars though it’s tough to give a score to a place that can change so much from one day to the next. I gave Club 4 a near perfect four-and-a-half star review but later the place changed ownership and its mode of operation after it was hit in a raid that lead to no charges or arrests. That’s how things can go. Just yesterday I was informed that a star performer from 007 is now working at Excite. Perhaps things will change again.

The new Carre Blanc.

I have been covering blowjob bars on this website site it first launched nearly four years ago. One reason for that is that I think the places are totally unique and interesting yet unknown by most of the world. Another reason is that there always seems to be something to write about.

As I’ve pointed out in past posts there are various types of blowjob bars around. Japan probably has the most. Vietnam is also home to many though they tend to be more like blowjob barber shops or blowjob cafes than bars. The latter theme seems to have caught on and spread around the world with last month’s announcement that a blowjob espresso bar will soon open in Switzerland. There are places where guys can pay to get blown in a partially public setting in countries like South Korea and the Philippines but they are very limited at this point. What remains is a few private blowjob shops and a handful of bars where guys occasionally get a hummer.

Thailand is probably home to the most traditional blowjob bars if such a thing even exists. The typically model is that of a regularly pub except that there is a staff of women on hand who offer oral services to customers for a set fee. In the original BJ bars women did the act right out in the open while anyone else around continued to enjoy their drinks. That isn’t as common as it used to be. Only a few places still specialize in such activities. Other places offer it but often only with reluctance. The places where is practiced most tend toward an out-of-the-way private “gentlemen’s club” setup.

I have been writing about Thai blowjob bars specifically since the beginning. I thought I had finally reviewed all of the BJ bars operating in Bangkok last year before realizing that the infamous Rose’s was still around. It appears there may be one or two more old haunts in Bangkok worth seeking out but for the most part it seems that I have the capital city suck shops out of the way. That doesn’t mean that there is nothing else to cover. Pattaya is filled with shops including many that I have yet to write about and more are opening all the time. Plus the existing bars in Bangkok continue to generate news.

I wrote quite a few updates about the Thai suck shop scene last year. I’ve been trying to cover a wide variety of venues and subjects since but so much news has emerged over the last weeks that I feel I must once again pen a piece about the pickle polishing pubs in the land of smiles.

The world famous Dr BJ’s Salon in the Sukhumvit section of Bangkok suddenly closed down as reported by Stickboy Bangkok. Apparently some Thai people found their way to a story published about the place on Vice a while back and started an uproar on social media. When I first saw that piece in Vice I wondered if it would cause problems. It turns out that it did though later than I may have imagined. It also turns out that I was probably right when I wondered allowed if the shop had been given some kind of warning to shut down rather than running into much worse problems from the powers that be. Some sort of mass email went out not long ago saying that the bar was simply rebranded after a shareholder reorganization. I don’t have the whole scoop. I just know that the bar closed at least for a short while. Not long after the entire shop was gutted another place called Wood Bar with the same mode of operation and even staff opened in the exact same location though its website is much more discreet. I’ll try to review it soon. The Dr BJ’s Nuru shop across the street was also closed but a place called Chrome Bar has opened in its place offering the same services.

Another bar a little further down Sukhumvit has variously been reported as open and closed. The Japanese pinsaro-like Bit Style has been through at least one closure and restart before and conflicting reports have been received over the last few weeks. I don’t have any special details or inside information. I just know what I’ve been told. As I write this the place does seem to be open and operating again even though the website hasn’t been updated in months.

Down in Pattaya a lot more has been going on. In my review of The Pump Station published back in 2013 I described how far the once great venue had fallen. It turns out that management finally took notice. The place has been totally redone and improved though it looks and works a lot more like a regular old girlie bar than a vacuum mouth venue now. Rumor has it that the same old services are still available upstairs though obviously that will have to be verified.

The previously reviewed Carre Blanc has relocated. The old shop has been closed and the venue is located right next to Club 4, 007 and the yet-to-be-reviewed Pirate. When 007 first opened next to Club 4 I wrote that the area was turning into a venerable “blow row”. Little did I know what was to come. There are now four slurp shops lined up in this little out of the way area. Most seem to have some sort of French involvement though they are all open to the general public. Punters really have their pick at the moment tough it is easy to wonder if there is a such thing as too much. At some point the supply may outpace the demand though I can’t be sure. As long as there are red blooded men in Pattaya I’m sure these kinds of places will have customers. Conspicuousness is another issue. Perhaps the concentration of similar businesses could draw attention from someone unwanted. Of course it is just as possible that the shops are located where they are for a reason!’

That’s what I know for now so that’s all I can tell you at least until the next bulletin blows in. Stay tuned.

Several months ago I announced that I had finally reviewed all of the blowjob bars in Bangkok. It turns out that I was wrong of course. That was partly by the course of events. Dr BJ’s Salon temporarily closed before reopening almost immediately under the new name of Wood Bar. Another bar called Linda’s or Kob’s depending on who you ask also escaped my radar. I knew the place existed but lost track of it over the years. I recently rediscovered Linda’s and so I will report on it soon. Today I write about the new Wood Bar.

As stated Wood Bar sits on the same location of the infamous Dr BJ’s. I don’t think it’s much of a stretch to say that Dr BJ’s was the best known blowjob bar in Thailand and probably even the world. The place operated openly with a name that left little to the imagination. Unlike most similar establishments it also kept a big bright website complete with photographs of the women on staff.

This led to the bar gaining a lot of notoriety and even coverage in somewhat mainstream media sources. An article about the place on the Vice website racked up countless hits and after a few years started a sort of firestorm on Thai websites and social media. Not long after that the bar had closed its door with many believing that this had something to do with the uproar.

The bar was quickly gutted then reopened with new colors and a new name. An email soon went out to a lot of people purporting to be from some people involved in the business. According to the email the change in name and colors was due to a shareholder shake up and nothing more. The email said everything was the same.

Indeed that seems to be for the most part true though there are some noticeable changes. It is enough in my view to warrant a totally new review to go along with the new name and the years that have passed since I first wrote about Dr BJ’s way back in 2013.

For those who don’t know and still don’t understanding after reading this far perhaps I should explain that Dr BJ’s Salon was a place where customers went to receive oral sex for a set fee. It is as simple as that.

Many years ago Dr BJ’s was big and bright. There were always a lot of women on staff. Some claim there were more than thirty at times. That seems believable to me. When customers would enter and sit down on the bench to the right women would pile in and sit along the wall on the other side. Still more would pop up from the loft upstairs and look over the banister. Those days are long gone. After a while the staff at Dr BJ’s dwindled to a dozen or so. In its present state the new bar may have even fewer than that.

Customers still enter Wood Bar on Sukhumvit Soi 7/1 and sit down on the bench to the right. The walls are no longer white. They have been painted a sort of yellow color. The same old no nonsense mamasan still works the bar and explains the place to any customers who are visiting for the first time. The available women still line up along the opposite wall but their numbers are only a small percentage of what they used to be.

There are probably six to ten women at Wood Bar even during prime evening times. They wear tight dresses. Many worked at Dr BJ’s when it was open. Most of the star players seem to be gone. A gal named Gigi with legendary skills may be the only one of the real standouts left. There are also a few new faces. There may be some stellar service providers in this mix. I do not know.

When the women on staff line up for customers they wear two different outfits. One set charges 700 Baht ($20 USD) for their time. The women in the the other outfits charge 1000 Baht ($29 USD) for sessions. While a 700-800 Baht price range has become pretty standard in Bangkok I don’t know of any other bar that charges 1000 Baht except for Magic Table which is located on the same street.

Service at Wood Bar is still provided in small wooden booths upstairs just as it was at Dr BJ’s. In the past these booths were black. Now they have been painted the same off yellow shade as the lobby. The sinks and dentist style chairs are still located in each room though there are now some massage implements like creams and oils added too. The word is that the presence of these massage related bits allows the place to operate under the veneer of a massage parlor. I am not privy to the ins and outs of the behind the scenes so I cannot neither confirm or deny this though it does sound like a reasonable explanation to me.

Service is for the most part straightforward and sufficient as it was in the previous incarnation of the bar. With a number of women on staff and all sorts of different customers coming in at all hours there will always be variation. Most people seem to leave satisfied though the bar doesn’t seem to have the same draw it did when it was operating under the old name.

In my original review of Dr BJ’s Salon I gave the place four stars. Later I would have lowered the score somewhat. Today I think Wood Bar deserves an average score of two-and-a-half stars.

I have been writing about blowjob bars on this website from the very beginning. Since these bars are mainly limited to Japan and Thailand most of the focus has been on those two countries though similar venues in places like Vietnam have also been covered. It took me years to review all of the pole polishing pubs in Bangkok and just when I thought I had finished that task I realized that there was still more to write about.

The city of Pattaya is internationally known for its adult entertainment scene even if some tourism officials wish it wasn’t. The city is probably more identified with such business than any other on earth. It is only fitting then that there are a lot of handsfree bars in the area. I have written about quite a few but there are still plenty more to go including several that have opened recently.

In Pattaya there is a whole group of bars referred to as gentlemen’s clubs. These have nothing to do with the strip clubs that call themselves gentlemen’s clubs in the US or the private male social clubs in the United Kingdom that probably originated the name. The gentlemen’s clubs in Pattaya are basically bars located off the beaten path and frequented mainly by guys who live in the area. They maintain a staff of women and tend to offer the same kinds of services as the other suck shops in the country though they can have a more private feel.

I reviewed a bar called Club 4 at the end of 2014. At the time I gave it a high score but a subsequent raid that led to naught and a change in ownership really shook things up. Today I would probably review it differently and if time allows I will try to go over the place again. Time is always an issue. In the time since Club 4 went through its changes a number of new but very similar bars have opened right next to it. One is 007 which I reviewed at the end of 2015. Another is a new incarnation of the previously reviewed Carre Blanc. Pirate is the final shop making up this modern blow row.

Pirate’s is at the end of the row housing the aforementioned businesses. The sign is obvious even if the area isn’t. Customers ring a bell to be given access. Everyone seems to be let inside so the bell is probably just a security precaution.

Although all of the clubs in the immediate area are housed in the same sort of structure they are organized in different ways. Pirate is a very nice club set up with a huge round bar at the front. To the side there are some lounge style chairs. A set of private blue booths is located in the back basically out of view from the rest of the bar. A small Thai women who manages the place is usually on hand. She can speak English pretty well and likes to be friendly with customers.

Pirate has a sort of nautical theme in the same way that 007 has a sort of Bond theme. That means that there are some pictures and small items around that play off of the name but that is about it. Unlike 007 and Club 4 there doesn’t seem to be any uniform at Pirate. The women wear their street clothes which truth be told usually aren’t all that attractive.

There are around six to ten women working at Pirate at most times. They tend to be in their twenties and thirties. They are mostly average in appearance with a few being on the chubby side. Some can speak a little English. Some cannot. At least one can speak French. Many smoke cigarettes and smoke them often. While they are nice enough some do things like blowing snot out of their noses in clear view of everyone else around which is probably not something most customers would want to see.

Drinks are reasonably priced. The same goes for lady drinks. Rates match those in the many beer bars around town but Pirate is a lot nicer inside with new tables and chairs and fully functioning air conditioning. The interior is in really good shape but its possible that this will not last if boogies continue to be launched around with no regard for the furniture.

The same kinds of oral services offered at the other bars in the strip are available from most of the women working at Pirate. Customers simply need to request a trip to one of the booths in the back. Rates are normal for the area at 800 Baht ($23 USD) all in. Full service in the private rooms upstairs runs around 1000 Baht ($29 USD) all included.

Service always depends on any number of factors. Different service providers act different ways at different times and with different people. At any place with several women on staff there is really no way to give an exact idea of how things are done at all times and in all situations. Suffice to say that the women at Pirate know what they are doing but may not be entirely into their work. The oddly shaped booths at Pirate don’t help much with this. Even an enthusiastic expert may have time working around a couch shaped like the letter L.

The Pirates Hostess Club is a well appointed private bar for guys looking to take a load off. It is run by a bubbly woman who offers drinks at reasonable rates. It is a lot like the other bars in the immediate area. As another option in what is becoming an exceptional little part of town I give it an average score of two-and-a-half stars.

As time keeps marching on I continue to cover the blowjob bars of Pattaya. I have already written about several on this website but there are still several places out there that fit into the mold. New places continue to open too which makes reporting on it all a challenge. Of course there are worse struggles to be involved in.

I try to strike a balance between the places I cover. I want to write about places all over the world without spending too much time focusing on one or two places. I set a sort of agenda as I go along but at times I have to break away from it. Sometimes breaking news or the need to report on a place while the information is still fresh gets in the way of the publishing plan I have worked out. Hopefully as long as content keeps coming readers will have something entertaining to look at and a reason to return again in the future.

Thailand has a huge adult entertainment scene that is almost entirely open to foreigners so there is a lot to write about. Within that scene there are different cities and all sorts of venues that can be described. Within each category there are news and events that can be covered too. This is the source of a lot of content and the reason that the country appears so often here on Rockit Reports.

The Telephone 2 is a sort of satellite spin off of the original Telephone Bar that I reviewed years ago. The bar is also known as Bar de la Poste and Trafalgar. The name doesn’t matter much but the confusion is understandable. The Bar de la Poste sign apparently from the original owners still appears outside next to a small model of the red phone booth that serves as the entrance to the original Telephone. Trafalgar seems to be a new name given to the place and commonly used online.

Inside the Telephone 2 is just like it predecessor. This location has a much more centralized and easy to find location. It also much larger. The original Telephone isn’t small at all but this place has enough room to host a huge party. There is a big bar to the left lined with stools. There are also tables throughout the place. In the back of the bar there is a “smoking section” with a wall blocking the view of what goes on below. Down a short hall there are more private booths filled with nice new leather style couches. Telephone 2 is by Pattaya bar standards. That said it is at most times pretty empty. At most there are usually two or three customers hanging around with the six to twelve ladies on staff.

The ladies who work at Telephone 2 look a lot like their counterparts at the original bar. They tend to be in their thirties or even forties. There may be one or two in their mid to late twenties. Nearly all have had children and show clear signs of that. A few are quite large. While these ladies won’t win any beauty pageants they tend to be very nice and ever fun. That’s a feat considering their line of work but it helps to explain why places like Telephone 2 thrive and are even able to expand.

The service level at the Telephone 2 is also a lot like the shop’s predecessor. When customers walk in they are greeted in unison by all of the women working. When they leave all of the women wish them a fond farewell. None of the women push guys to buy them drinks but they are happy to receive them. When a customer buys a drink for a lady she removes her top and stands close by to give him an opportunity to enjoy.

Most if not all of the women working the bar with the exception of the bar tender are up for more too. Oral services are available at rates comparable to most similar places around town. If customers want to receive their services in the back of the bar or one of the private booths in the back they pay a 150 Baht ($4.50 USD) fee to the bar. Additional money must be given for the service provider. The rate is 500 Baht ($14.50 USD). This comes to a total of 650 Baht which is a little less than the more straight forward Lolita’s nearby charges.

Women at Bar de la Poste seem to much prefer the smoking section in the back of the bar to any more public action. They seem to like the private booths in the back of the building and the rooms upstairs most of all. This is no Star of Light.

At any place with numerous women working the level of service can vary. At Telephone 2 there is a pretty uniform approach. Nearly all of the women know what they are doing though few would probably blow anyone away.

Telephone 2 is larger, cleaner and easier to find that the original. You might think that this would make the place much busier but it doesn’t appear to. It remains relatively quite. It is fairly average as a bar but the level and type of service offered set the place apart. It reminds me a bit of the old Pattaya full of wild and crazy fun. I give it four stars.

I have written quite a bit about the adult entertainment scene in Vietnam. It has all centered on Ho Chi Minh City. That’s partly because so much of the industry is centered there. A lot of other cities including the capital of Hanoi are either tougher to navigate or are more limited. In the case of the capital the outcall game seems to be the major player. Down south in Saigon there are a lot of shops that are more suitable to reviews like these.

Tuan Tam is a barbershop that does a lot more than cut hair. It is located near several similar shops on Nguyen Phi Khanh in Ho Chi Minh’s District 1. I have reviewed one of these shops before. I may review more in the future.

One could walk past most hot toc oms without noticing a thing. That’s because they for the most part look like any other goi dau hair wash places around town. Those who don’t speak the local language would be even less likely to suspect anything. The shops that appear to be sexy are mainly regular hair washing places where nothing other than some shampoo is offered. Looks can be deceiving. This is probably by design. While there are always discussions around bring the industry into the light of day it is unlikely it will happen anytime soon. I would love to be wrong.

Tuan Tam is located a bit down the street. Like most similar shops it isn’t very obvious at all. It really blends into the surroundings. There is usually a man out front who serves as security and occasionally as a tout as well although his English skills are negligible at best.

Through the entrance there is a small lobby area where things like ear cleaning and similar services would ostensibly take place. This is a resting area for most of the women on staff. They lay around waiting for customers to blow in from the street. Most are attractive gals in their twenties and thirties. Some are very plain. None can really speak English but they are all capable of communicating with hand signals and body language. For some translation apps are also a big help. The women at Tuan Tam wear short red dresses that tend to ride up and reveal undergarments with regularity.

After either selecting a service provider or taking the next one in rotation customers are guided up a flight of stairs to an upper floor with checkered tiles. Long red booths take up most of the room.

Inside of each booth there is a long flat table. These aren’t really massage tables. They are padded with elevated head rests. At the end of each of these tables there is a sink that is meant for hair washing but also capable of washing other parts of the body as well. Things like soap aren’t kept in the room but when customers lay day on the table they are retrieved from somewhere else by the service providers.

The booths offer a limited amount of privacy. The red walls certainly seal things off from the rest of the room but the front of each cubicle is only covered by a curtain. This curtain blocks the view from the outside but can’t do much more. The place is usually pretty quiet in any event so it doesn’t really seem to be an issue.

Service goes as it usually does at these sort of places in most cases. Customers prepare themselves. Then they are washed. Then they are serviced orally. After that they are cleaned again before getting geared up to head back out into the world.

Customers make payment on the way out of the place. A manager downstairs takes care of that. The typical rate for foreigners is 400,000 Dong ($18 USD). This is up from the 200,000 that used be the norm in this area. That rate still exists in some corners of the city but most foreign visitors who lack the ability to speak the local language will never find it.

Tuan Tam doesn’t really stand out. It is a fair example of a shop of the sort. I give it an average score of two-and-a-half stars.

Japan is home to all sorts of sexual services and the places that offer them. The country has an international reputation as a home for the weird and wild though the validity of that stereotype can be debated. While some may think places like Kirari Community Cafe are strange others may think that it is bizarre to outlaw the sale of sex where selling and sex are both otherwise legal.

Japanese law forbids the sale of vaginal intercourse in most cases but other services are usually permitted. One of the most well known and widespread sort of sex shop in Japan is the pink salon or pinsaro. These blow job bars can be found all over the country and in some areas are very common. Most of them are off limits to foreigners even though they rarely if ever visit. The reasons for this are many and could best be covered in another article. Suffice it to say that most blow and gos are a no go for people who don’t at least speak Nihongo. There are some exceptions including a few that have been reported on here.

Academy is a pinsaro in the Sugamo section of Tokyo located only steps away from the previously reviewed and well known Jan Jan. Academy has the same foreigner friendly policy as Jan Jan though it is not quite the same otherwise. It’s possible that most foreigners who wind up in Academy actually intended to visit Jan Jan but got disoriented as it is difficult to believe many people would seek out a place like this.

The shop is located on the same street as Jan Jan. Located outside of the south exit of Sugamo Station. This street is home to a few suck shops. At least three accept foreigners. Academy is the smallest pinsaro on the street and possibly in the entire city. The sign for Academy is in Japanese and reads “アカデミー”.

Just inside the door there is a small window to the left. It looks like a ticket window in an old movie theater. This is where customers pay their entrance fee of 3000 Yen ($26 USD). That is if they can find someone. Many times the window is empty as the manager is away doing something else. Since the place isn’t very busy it is possible that they simply just get bored and wander off. They can’t go far however as the entire place is smaller than many living rooms in the United States.

After customers pay their fee they are led inside to one of three booths. These booths have the standard blowjob bar benches which are padded. The floor is checkered and there is a small disco ball hanging from the ceiling. None of this builds a party atmosphere however. The place looks more dead than alive. The staff doesn’t necessarily help with that perception either.

There are a few women who work at Academy. Many times there is only one on staff however. The women can only be described as old or in some cases perhaps elderly. It is no exaggeration to say that some of the women working in this place are around 70 years old. One or two may be younger but if so not by much. The staff is decidedly skewed toward the golden years. Perhaps the customer base is too. Despite several passes I have not yet seen any customers going in or out of the place so I cannot report on the average customer age with any accuracy.

The women working Academy wear the kind of clothes one might expect from an old lady. Sometimes they make attempts to look a little sexier but the closest thing to a uniform that exists at Academy is a house dress. Most of the women also wear old style stockings that are often rolled down around their calves in what looks like something out of a Japanese version of Mama’s Family. The women work as women in any similar place do and they seem to put effort in but there is only so much an older lady can do. At least in this case. To the shop’s credit sessions at Academy run the full twenty minutes allotted. There is no effort to rip anyone off.

Customers are asked to pull off their pants and relax. They are then wiped down with a cloth and asked to put on a condom. Service is then provided there on the couch. Some of the service providers get at least partially nude. Others do not.

As mentioned the room is small. It is also well lit. So there is not much privacy inside even though the booths all point in the same direct. The booth to the right which points directly at the wall is probably the most private. In any event the shop is not busy at all so it is unlikely any customer will see or be seen by another customer unless there is a sudden influx of people with a Japanese GILF fetish.

Academy is an old and worn out place. Most of the women who work there share its characteristics. Still it is open to people from around the world and the staff provides the services promised for a reasonable rate. One star.

Following on yesterday’s updated guest review of Queen’s Chamber in Manila I have decided to publish a long due updated review of Bit Style in Bangkok. I first reviewed Bit Style back in early 2015. At the time the place was operating a Japanese style blowjob bar. After that it closed and reopened several times before taking on its current incarnation.

At some point I do plan to update a lot of the older material on this site to modernize it and make it confirm with the editorial style and policy that has taken hold here. As you might imagine this will require a lot of work. Since I have to balance my available time and energy I have decided to continue to focus on publish new material on a regular schedule. So for the time being readers will have to deal with archives that can sometimes be out of date or out of whack when compared to the rest of the site so that a constant stream of new material can be provided. Occasionally updates such as this will occur though the priority will continue to be placed on reporting on the as of yet unreported.

As mentioned Bit Style was once a Bangkok blowjob bar. It separated itself from the pack with an authentic Japanese style that undoubtedly originated in its Japanese owner. The proximity of the place to Soi 33 which is commonly called “Soi Japan” probably contributed too.

Bit Style was more expensive than other blowjob bars but it also had a very attractive staff and offered different services such as a handcuff service that meant the women working at the place only used their mouths. Perhaps this caused a problem. I have no way to know. What I do know is that the place opened and closed several times before finally reopening under a new ownership and business model. This may have happened in a rush as the presence of both an old website and a new website may indicate. Since the newest version of Bit Style is so different from the original it deserves its own review.

Bit Style is located down a side alley off of Sukhumvit Soi 22. The alley is filled with various massage places. The entrance to Bit Style is indicated by several signs.

Once passing through the glass doors customers immediately find themselves in a small lobby facing a front desk. There an attractive but inattentive Thai woman sits managing the place. This woman almost seems shocked at the arrival of customers but this may be due to something like dealing in three languages at once.

In any event this manager hands customers a folder that contains a multiple page menu. The menu contains some rather confusing tables in English and Japanese showing the services available and corresponding prices.

Bit Style has always been more expensive than its competitors but the new rates are even higher than some high end soapy massage parlors. While there are various services available the “forty minute two girl lingerie massage with blow job” listed on the menu for 2700 Baht ($77 USD) gives a good example of the prices. For comparison the same service minus the lingerie is available at other blowjob bars in walking distance for as little as 1400 Baht ($40 USD) by women who are typically more skilled.

Most blowjob bars have “big rooms” available with beds that typically cost more than their booths. At Bit Style things like the “two girl massage” are performed in private booths with small couches that look like they come right out of a Japanese pinsaro.

Each booth has walls and a door. The walls do not go all the way up to the ceiling and there are no sinks in the booths either but the place is definitely clean.

The staff at Bit Style is not large. In the middle of the day there may only be four women working. If two are busy with a customer that means that only two are available. The women are generally attractive and in their early twenties. Some are more attractive than others and a few are average at best. There don’t seem to be any large or old women.

After customers select a service the manager calls for the available women. The women emerge from a small lounge room behind the desk wearing teddies and lingerie that looks a lot sexier than the usual jeans and t-shirt that can be found in much of the country.

After the customer selects his service provider he is offered a free drink and taken to a small bench in a hallway. There he takes off his shoes and puts on a pair of slippers before heading up a small staircase.

At the top of the staircase there are several private booths of the type that have already been described here. In the original Bit Style dance music was played at a very loud level. In the new Bit Style soft music plays over the speakers.

Once customers enter their booths they are told to undress and put their clothes up on a hanger in the corner. The service provider then proceeds to clean their intimate areas with a wet nap and begin service.

Things can be a little mechanical and the women at Bit Style often claim to tire out after only a few minutes. Some also have foul smelling breath which surely must put customers off even if they are otherwise attractive and fit.

The women at Bit Style aren’t superbly skilled at their work either. A few even seem to shy away from it. So for example during a two woman massage one woman may stick strictly to kissing the neck and nipples of a customer while the other does all of the heavy lifting. Even when requested to switch they may not. Still the women don’t seem to detest their work or anything like that.

In fact the women actually seem to be fun spirited and even have a good time with their work but they don’t necessarily take it very seriously. At times they even seem puzzled about exactly what they are supposed to do. When sessions finish before schedule as they often do the women don’t even seem to know if they should spend the rest of the time with their customers or guide him out the door. Unless he protests they usually do the latter.

After sessions conclude customers are dressed and escorts back downstairs to their shoes. Once they put their shoes on they are guided back to the main entrance by their service providers and given a farewell.

Bit Style is a clean and modern place that doesn’t necessarily seem to have found its niche. The prices at the shop are higher than the competitors though it isn’t exactly clear why. Two stars.

While Bangkok is filled with adult entertainment options regulars soon learn that most of the many shops around the city basically offer the same thing in different packaging. There are only a few types of shops and few dare to differentiate themselves from the pack.

7 Heaven is blazing a trail. It is a new and innovative shop in a field where most businesses simply copy each other. The place is tucked away in its own corner of the city but is still frequently visited mainly by Asian customers. Based on the service and the women who provide it I think that the shop will soon become popular among others too.

The 7 Heaven shop is centrally located on the first alley to the right when traveling on Sukhumvit Soi 33 from Sukhumvit. While it could be easy to pass it is unlikely that anyone looking for the place would miss it. It is located right out in the open and there is a prominent pink sign in the street with the business name and logo.

A very good looking Thai woman runs the shop. She is obviously fluent in her native tongue but she also speaks both English and Japanese with some skill. She is not available for service but she is very nice to look at nonetheless.

For some reason 7 Heaven doesn’t seem be well known among the many farang in Bangkok yet. I think that will change as time goes on and more people find out about the shop. Among those who know of the shop there have been some rumors that the place is meant for Japanese customers only. That’s absolutely false. While Japanese customers are clearly welcome by a website with some Japanese characters people from other countries are also warmly accepted. The multilingual front desk staff speaks Thai, English and Japanese so they are potentially capable of talking to hundreds of millions of people.

There are about a half dozen gals at 7 Heaven. As anyone with eyes can see they are for the most part very good looking. This is rare in an establishment like 7 Heaven at least in Bangkok. The pictures on the 7 Heaven website are totally accurate.
