Jan Jan is probably the next most well known foreigner friendly pink salon in Tokyo. Located just outside of Sugamo Station the place has been welcoming in gaijin guys for at least a decade.

Inside Jan Jan is like a dusty old lounge or tea shop. Privacy is minimal but its not as open as Hinomaru. A middle aged tout in the street waves guys in. Look x Look is an old school pink salon in Kanda. It is located right next to Kanda Station and quite easy to find. Look x Look is a dimly lit place illuminated mostly by some fairy lights. The normal electronic music plays over speakers while two or three gals serve whoever shows up. The standard price at Look x Look is 6000 Yen ($55 USD) but this includes rotation service. Dio and Emotion in Gotonda

Last but not least there is Dio and Emotion. There two names here but there is really just one shop. A single entrance outside the Gotonda train station leads to a ground floor and another floor upstairs. The same thing goes on in both.

Dio and Emotion accept foreign customers with limits. While Japanese guys have several pricing options and access to some attractive women on staff foreigners are stuck with a forty minute two-lady rotation that starts at 7000 Yen ($64 USD) during the day and goes up in the afternoon and evening. That is more than locals pay for the same service.

King’s Club is a gentlemen’s club on Third Road in Pattaya. It takes the place of the old Bliss Lounge BJ bar which I reviewed all the way back in 2014. Services are similar here though not totally the same as they once were.

King’s Club is easy to find if you know what to look for. It is directly across the road from the intersection with Soi Xcite and a few doors down from a 7 Eleven. There is a large purple sign over the door that spells out King’s Club in plain English alongside a rather regal looking lion.

There are no big casino style lights or anything like that at King’s Club so the place is rather discreet. Though a local married man parking his well-known motorbike in front might not agree.

I would say that I am a bit surprised that a business like this can operate under the name “King’s Club” in Thailand. Especially with the purple and yellow signage and insignia. But I am aware of several other places with similar names. That includes the long operating King’s Castle in the Patpong redlight area of Bangkok. So apparently this is not really an issue.

Inside King’s Club

King’s Club is officially a restaurant. Or at least it was during the special regulations in force for the pandemic. Then again Bliss was also listed as a “bar and restaurant” when it was in operation. Perhaps this has something to do with licensing issues. I have no idea. Of course in practice the place is a pub staffed with women who are eager to get their customers off for cash. And that’s all that matters for our purposes.

Bliss operated more like a standard blowjob bar. Customers walked in to find the staff lined up in the entrance way. They would typically select a lady, move through the empty bar, then go upstairs for a bit of head work.

King’s is more like a functioning club. The ladies mingle with patrons inside the bar area which admittedly hasn’t changed much. But these gals wear a rotating array of costumes including bikinis or dresses sans panties. Some will even get up and dance once in a while if the mood strikes. This is a somewhat stark change from Bliss where a team of rather demure ladies in polo shirts and jeans waited patiently on seats for each guy to come in.

Staff, service and rates

There are close to a dozen women working at King’s Club on any given night. This is probably a little higher than the staffing numbers of the old Bliss. In terms of looks the ladies are mostly average and ranging in age from maybe 25 to mid-40’s. All of the ladies are friendly and fairly forward. A couple have nicely enhanced silicone knockers that are quite the handful.

Services remain more or less the same with some new twists. For example all of the ladies on staff offer oral as they did in the old days. Another difference is that nearly all of the ladies at King’s offer full service. It is not the price that is notable here but that fact that this is even available. Some of the women at the old Bliss may have offered Full Service some of the time. But some ladies were oral only.

Skills are good and rates are fair. Oral on the ground floor can be had for as little as 500 Baht plus a 300 Baht charge. That comes out to 800 Baht ($23 USD) which is more or less on par with what similar venues in town are charging these days. Upstairs room visits can cost a little more at 1000 Baht.

Perhaps I am getting soft in my old age. In more ways than one. But for some reason I do find the new King’s Club to be at least a bit more enjoyable than the old Bliss Lounge. Even if the amazing deepthroater Oi is no longer on board. Since I gave Bliss Lounge three-and-a-half stars 8 years ago it only seems fitting to give King’s Club four stars today.

In Bangkok the most accessible blowjob bar in existence today is probably Wood Bar which was formerly and famously known as Dr BJ’s. The shop is set up a bit like a dentist’s office. Magic Table is a few doors down from Wood Bar. It’s an old go go bar with elevated stages surrounded by stools. Customers who sit on these stools quickly realize what makes the tables magic. They’re covered with mirrors and reveal that the women dancing in skirts and bikini tops don’t wear panties. Oral service is available in two VIP rooms in the back of the bar for 1000 Baht.

Afterskool is a full fledged go go bar on the Soi Cowboy strip that is also known for extras. In exchange for several lady drinks and a tip of around 1000 Baht some of the women on staff are known to blow customers discreetly in the bench seats or over in the “naughty boy corner” next to the bar.

Lolita’s on Sukhumvit Soi 8 is another well known hands-free bar in Bangkok. Only steps away sits Kasalong on Sukhumvit Soi 6. Opened by a renegade who left Lolita’s the bar is much larger than its nearby competitor and comes complete with a pool table though that doesn’t ever seem to be used anymore. The many women who work at Kasalong wear light blue skirts with matching uniform tops and wait in chairs out front for customers. Service takes place in several private booths upstairs that come complete with sinks and couches that at this point have become pretty worn out. For years Kasalong asked 100 Baht less than Lolilta’s but today it also charges for 800 Baht.

Som’s Haven on Sukhumvit Soi 14 not far from the massive and modern Terminal 21 mall was another BJ bar that was started by a former Lolita’s employee. After many years in operation it closed in late 2018 only to reopen nearby as Duangporn Haven. The many women on staff usually sit out front waiting for customers. Customers can hang out with the gals in the lounge just inside and enjoy cheap drinks. Or they go upstairs to one of the many private cubicles where oral is offered. Som’s is one of the least expensive bar of its kind in the capital city since it charges a mere 800 Baht per session.

A less popular bar called the Lollipop 1 was located on Sukhumvit Soi 10 next to the Paradiso Hotel until it closed in 2018. It did not reopen anywhere. Both the Lollipop 1 and the Lollipop 2 are now out of business so there are no more Lollipop blow job bars in Bangkok.

Kimochil BJ on Thonglor Soi 3 bills itself as a new kind of blowjob bar. It’s actually more of a massage parlor. Off the beaten path the place has a large lobby where customers are presented with a menu offering various services including a 40 minutes massage and oral happy ending for 1400 Baht ($42 USD) and optional facial ending for 500 Baht more. The private rooms upstairs are a lot less luxurious but perhaps fitting for the situation. They include mattresses on the floor and in suite showers.

There are also some Asian oriented blowjob bars in the Sukhumvit area of Bangkok that tend to hire more attractive but less skilled ladies. They also charge more. Bit Style went through several iterations but eventually went under. When the bar was in business oral service was available on benches in private booths for 1300 Baht ($39 USD).

The increasingly popular 7Heaven on Sukhumvit Soi 33 looks a lot like a Japanese pink salon and has a lot attractive Thai women in their early 20’s on staff. They charge 1300 Baht for a session with one lady and 2500 Baht ($75 USD) for a double.

Madame Claude is the newest BJ bar in Bangkok. Located on Sukhumvit Soi 26, the place is rather large and elaborate for a suck shop. Prices are on par with other Asian style blow job bars in Bangkok. A standard suck off at Madame Claude costs 1300 Baht which is almost double what the older BJ bars in town charge. But non-standard services like a chocolate covered blow job are also available.

For years the infamous Star of Light on Patpong 2 offered a similar service to the Sukhumvit bars though there was a lot less privacy. This little shop contains nothing more than a short bar, two booths and a tiny bathroom. The mostly veteran staff sit outside waiting for customers. They perform their services for 700 Baht either in the bar on the booths or in the bathroom. Guys were known to get sucked off on the couches while others drank at the bar an arm’s length away.

One floor up from the old Star of Light sits the little known The World which is also variously known as Kob’s Place, Linda’s Place and Linda Place. The World is larger than Star of Light but even more worn down. There are only a handful of women on staff including a bartender. Action is variously priced and seemingly negotiable and service takes place either in the bench seats along the wall or in a small curtained off area in the back.

There were two more blowjob bars one street over on Patpong 1. Both were upstairs and have street level entrances guarded by doormen who ring bells to let everyone inside know when someone is headed up the stairs. Rose’s is one of the oldest blowjob bars in all of Bangkok and the staff reflects that. The shop has some bench seats along the walls and a decrepit old bar and not much else but suck jobs are offered right inside for 1000 Baht. On the other hand the Kangaroo which was a slightly more modern bar on the same street is definitely gone for good. It was a fun place with a television in the corner playing porn. They prefered to use a small room in the back out of the prying eyes of other customers and the ladyboy bartender.

There are no other blowjob bars in Bangkok today that I know of though there were several other blowjob bars in years gone by. Some, like Tokyo Jogakuen lasted less than a year. But others were around for decades.

BJ Bars in Pattaya

There are many blowjob bars scattered around Pattaya, with big concentrations on Soi Full Love Inn and the open sex market known as Soi 6. They often have names that reveal their purpose. Places like “Pump Station” let you know exactly what they are about. “Kittens” doesn’t have such a straightforward name but the services are identical.

There was a time when customers could enter one of these shops, grab a drink, pick a girl, and get sucked off right at the bar, in a booth or in a semi-private room for a few hundred baht. The public suck stuff seems to have greatly died down though in a few cases it has actually just moved a few feet over. These days public oral is more commonly found in Pattaya gentlemen’s clubs which I will discuss below.

Pattaya BJ bars usually have a bevy of women sitting outside of them waiting for customers. They range in looks from average to over the hill with a few stunners mixed in for good measures. Once in a while a real beauty will work in a Pattaya BJ bar but most of the best lookers are working in go go bars where they can make big bucks.

Soi 13/2 which is also known as Soi Post Office is home to several old beer bars that double as pickle polishing pubs. Golden Girl had a long history on the street before it shuttered in 2014. Two other bars on the street called The Pump Station 1 and The Pump Station 2 operate in similar fashion though they have more women on staff. They charge 800 Baht for oral in private rooms above the bars. Neither of those bars operate like the original Pump Station which had a bar with curtained covered cutouts underneath so customers could get blown while imbibing their beers!

Kittens on Soi 13/2 is a newer bar with a younger and generally more attractive staff. The women are mainly in their twenties. Although they don’t always bring it up immediately like their counterparts at Wood Bar, they do offer oral services in private rooms upstairs for 800 Baht.

Pattaya’s Soi 6 is home to several short time bars that offer on demand oral services including My Friend You, Full Moon and Click Bar. The price for a blow at these venues is typically 800 Baht.

At My Friend You and Click Bar the services are rendered on couches inside the bar that are only surrounded by flimsy curtains. At King Kong the action takes place in a private room accessed through a secret door in the wall. Customers who want service in a private room above any of these bars have to pay an additional 300 to 500 Baht for the privilege though that also usually includes full service as a matter of course.

The aforementioned Lolita’s in Bangkok once has aspirations of being a blowjob bar chain as evidenced by the Lolita’s on Soi Chaiyapoon in Pattaya. This Lolita’s opened after another Lolita’s on LK Metro closed when the owner passed away. Now both Lolita’s in Pattaya have shuttered. Still they are worth mentioning for their historical merit. The women on staff wore uniforms like the ladies in Bangkok and offered oral in private rooms with reclining chairs upstairs for 700 Baht.

The Telephone Bar on Soi Batman and Bar Club la Poste on Soi Lengkee offer an interesting take on the blowjob bar model. Oral services are available in private areas for 650 Baht ($19.50 USD) and occasionally right at the bar.

King’s Club on Third Road is a blowjob bar in a converted restaurant. Because of that it looks very nice inside with well decorated walls, a big bar and a quality pool table. The women on staff wait for customers in a small room in front of the shop. They offer oral services in the bar area or upstairs for 800 Baht. This spot was called Bliss Lounge under a previous owner. Though it was fairly similar.

Soi Bongkot 8, also known as “Soi Full Love Inn”, has become a sort of blow row in recent years as several gentlemen’s clubs have opened in one concentrated area. These clubs are staffed by women of various attractiveness who usually wear uniforms of some kind. They are clean and modern and have big bars and lots of semi-private booths. They also have private rooms upstairs. The front doors remained locked until customers rings buzzers to be let inside. That allows for all sorts of activities to happen right on the main floor. Prices are usually 700 Baht for oral on the ground floor or 1300 for more private action upstairs.

At one point there were only two bars of this type on Soi Full Inn. That has changed. The gentlemen’s clubs on the strip today include Pirates, Club 4, 007, Club Sin, J Club, Amsterdam, Bada Bing, and Carre Blanc.

Other bars around town like the popular Excite Club and Club M also operate on a gentlemen’s club model with oral services available on premises for similar prices.

Hong Kong blowjob bars

Hong Kong has plenty of prostitution that ranges from the legal to the gray market and beyond. But there is only one blowjob bar in the territory. That’s the Dragon Bar.

The Dragon Bar is a sort of go go bar staffed by a handful of Filipinas. Few people ever sit around and watch the show here. It’s a lot more interactive. There are benches in the two front corners of the bar where women on staff suck off customers in exchange for lady drinks that cost 250 Hong Kong Dollars ($32.25 USD) each.

The oral service here is meant as a teaser to get customers to take women out of the bar at exorbitant prices. Though customers who request it can be finished off by mouth in the bar for a negotiated rate. Expenses can add up quickly for guys caught up in sheer pleasure. Needless to say this is a not cheap place. Especially when compared to other suck shops in Asia.

Blow job bars in the Philippines

The day of the blowjob bar seems to have passed in the Philippines. Angeles City used to have a short street filled with short time bars that used to be referred to as “blow row.” But it has for the most part all been shut down by a combination of government pressure and poor business.

Customers will still occasionally get oral service inside a go go bar on the Walking Street portion of Fields Avenue. But it is much more common further up on Perimeter Road. Even there the service is never a sure thing anymore. Increasingly common bar raids probably have a lot to do with that.

Foreigners are sometimes expected to pay as much as double the normal rate since guys from other countries often pay more than the set fee or ask “how much”?

Blowjob barbershops exist all over Vietnam but Ho Chi Minh City is probably home to the most. Some hot toc om in Saigon include Huynh Phuc Khang, Kim Yen, Quynh Anh, Thien Huong, Van An, Hoai 42, Thien Huong Dat, Tuan Anh, Benny’s, Tuan Tam, Phu Ngoc, Hoang Thanh, Hoang Duc, Hoang Dia, and Thien Phu. The popular Thien Phu is no longer in operation.

At one point in the not so distant past there were a few bars in Phnom Penh where oral services were offered at incredibly low rates. Those bars have all been closed for years now but they were so legendary that they are still talked about today.

D’s Place is maybe the most popular of all the remaining Blok M bars, probably because they have a stage where some pretty ladies in bikinis dance around poles. Since Ichigo Kurabu changed names and officially banned foreigners, there are now only four suck shops in Tokyo that accept non-Japanese guys. They are Jan Jan, Hinomaru, Dio/Emotion, Look x Look, and Academy which despite the name is worked by ladies of a certain age.

N-Cats in Kyoto is the most notable foreigner friendly pink salon outside of Tokyo. This is a standard Japanese BJ bar with a semi-public setting.

As with anything else in Japan tipping is not expected at the pink salons. The idea of tipping is alien to Japanese culture and can even be considered rude in some situations. In most cases tips probably wouldn’t even be accepted at a Japanese pink salon.

Lip cafes South Korea

There is no specific blowjob bar scene to speak of in South Korea. Granted there are special karaoke rooms where the women on staff suck off all of their customers at the end of the session. But those aren’t specialized suck shops. And they aren’t accessible to most non-Koreans either. Those who are Korean will already know about those places.

South Korea does have its own unique type of shop called a lip cafe however. But back in 2016, stories started appearing in the press about plans to open a pickle polishing coffee shop in the Swiss capital city of Geneva. According to these reports the place was set to have women available to blow customers while they enjoyed their cup of joe.

The ambitions of the people who wanted to open their cock sucking cafe were quickly scuttled however. Not long after the initial reports emerged word came that the place would run afoul of rules against pimping.

Apparently it’s fairly rare for a man to catch anything by receiving oral sex without a condom. I-Base calls it “likely to be zero or close to zero” risk for HIV. There is a risk of gonorrhea transmission but it is not all that high either. There may also be a low risk of chlamydia transmission through this route though at least one highly respected US physician says there is no risk at all:

Madame Claude is a new blowjob bar located in Bangkok. With its staff and specialized menu the shop aims to be a cut above the rest of the competition. But does this new go at an old model stand up to scrutiny?

It is not often that I get to write about a new BJ bar in Bangkok anymore. These days it is more common to write about a suck shop shutdown. And I have never reviewed a place billing itself as a “premium blowjob bar”. So I was pleasantly surprised to come across this place.

Knowing that Madame Claude opened in the aftermath of the long hard years we all went through makes me hopeful for the future. But it is always easier to have a positive outlook on things with a pro pickle polisher between your knees.

Madame Claude BJ bar

What’s in a name? Renoir famously painted a Portrait of Madame Claude Monet. Famous French pimptress Fernande Grudet was also known as Madame Claude. A French film from the 1970’s called “Madame Claude” was based on her life. Another movie of the same name, and about the same woman, was more recently released through Netflix.

I am not sure if any of that inspired the naming of this particular business. All I can tell you is that this Madame Claude is a more upmarket version of the same BJ bar model that has functioned in Thailand for many years.

Madame Claude is located on Sukhumvit Soi 26. It is a side alley off the left hand side when coming from Sukhumvit Road. The alley is just after Paradise Massage. The discreet fence-fronted bar is just a short walk from previously reviewed places like Don Quixote and EZ Massage 1.

The bar is actually located in a sort of row house. That is not a bad thing however. It is a nice and comfortable environment for oral and other services. Especially when you take into account the surroundings. Nice touches like wall art and pottery fills the space. And the sucking happens on specially designed shrink-style sofas that are expertly upholstered.

Does Madame Claude’s suck?

The layout and decor are always something to consider. Otherwise you might end up in a place with nothing but badly painted thin wood cubicle walls that don’t even go up to the ceiling. Still that only matters suck much when we are talking about a blowjob bar. What really matters for most is the ladies and their level of skills. And rightfully so!

There are several women working at Madame Claude. They range in age from mid-20’s to maybe mid-30’s. They are all relatively attractive. Of course beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I don’t know whether the gals at Madame Claude are that much better looking than the average blow job bar worker in Bangkok even if Takky and Tawan are particularly sexy. In any event all the babes at this bar dress the part. So you are likely to see a gal with done up hair and cosmetics at Madame Claude where the ladies at some other similar venues tend to look like they just rolled out of bed.

Skill is arguably more important than any of that however. All of the ladies here are proficient at working out a wad. Some are a lot better at it than others with a few even having the ability to do deepthroat. To the shop’s credit none of the women working at Madame Claudes are todger dodgers.

Service, prices and summary

Madame Claude has a wide variety of services and that is certainly different from other BJ bars. I’m not sure how much the use of chocolate enhances a customer’s experience when receiving oral. But I do think it’s nice that such a thing is on offer. The same goes for the footjob option for those who are into it.

Any place aiming to be high end is going to charge premium prices. That’s true at Madame Claude too. But thankfully they have not gotten out of totally hand with the rates. A blowjob here costs 1300 Baht ($37 USD). That is almost double what some BJ bars like Kasalong charge. On the other hand it is the exact amount charged by 7 Heaven on Soi 33.

Madame Claude is frankly a much nicer place than 7 Heaven. Though at least the moment 7 Heaven probably has the edge when it comes to the looks of the ladies. For some that doesn’t matter. As many will quickly tell you the tops of most heads look the same. But there are guys who value the looks of the ladies above all else. Or at least heavily.

There is usually a trade off between looks and services. Older and more experienced women often give better blowjobs than younger better looking women. But of course that is not always the case. Forget about fuel economy. Situations like these are the basis of the old phrase “your mileage may vary”!

Review of Pinsaro Sniper

Pinsaro Sniper tells the story of Yuki, a spectacularly beautiful and well built office worker by day and pro schlong sucker by night. She sucks off countless regular customers as a part of her work. In any case, Vovo is quite easy to find. When approaching from the main Sukhumvit Road the shop is on the left. There are clear signs marking Vovo that would difficult to miss. Jan Jan is a low-end blowjob bar in the Sugamo section of Tokyo. In Japan the local version of blowjob bars are referred to as pink salons or pinsaro. These are places where you can walk in, pay a fee, and receive a blowjob. And it’s all totally legal.

Jan Jan is easy to find. You can’t really miss the place. Take the south exit of Sugamo station. Look for Hotel Mentels and walk down the alleyway next to it. But next to a large sign that says “Jan Jan” with white letters in Japanese, the suit-wearing Jan Jan tout will be trying to wave you in with a big smile. He may also say “Jan Jan” to let you know that you’re there. They know what foreigners are looking for when they’re out and about in that area. It usually isn’t a bowl of soup.

Inside the Jan Jan blowjob shop

For foreigners a bareback blowjob at Jan Jan will run 4000 yen ($27 USD). You’ll pay in the front at the cash register, either to a male manager or a female mamasan who sits behind the counter. You don’t need to speak any Japanese at all to get in, which is a bonus for short time visitors. After you pay you’ll be lead to a booth and given a cup of iced barley tea while you wait for a woman to blow you.

The place is pretty old and sleazy inside. It’s actually a bit of a dump as far as Japanese places go. But it’s nowhere near as bad as some of the brothels in other countries. At least you don’t have to worry about bed bugs or anything like that.

There are two rows of booths on the main floor. The backs of the seats go up far enough to give you a decent amount of privacy. But you will occasionally see a leg or the top of the head of a girl working in the booth in front of you. The air is a bit smoky but not too bad. You can sometimes see a little into the other booths. But don’t stare. That’s just bad manners. Academy is a blowjob bar in the Sugamo section of Tokyo located only steps away from the previously reviewed and well known Jan Jan. Academy has the same foreigner friendly policy as Jan Jan though it is not quite the same otherwise. It’s possible that most foreigners who wind up in Academy actually intended to visit Jan Jan but got disoriented as it is difficult to believe many people would seek out a place like this.

While some may think places like Kirari Community Cafe are strange others may believe that it is bizarre to outlaw the sale of sex where selling and sex are both otherwise legal.

Japanese law forbids the sale of vaginal intercourse in most cases but other services are usually permitted. One of the most well known and widespread sort of sex shop in Japan is the pink salon or pinsaro. These blow job bars can be found all over the country and in some areas are very common.

Most pink salons in Japan are off limits to foreigners even though they rarely if ever visit. The reasons for this are many and could best be covered in another article. As mentioned, the Academy shop is on the same street as Jan Jan. It is also know as “Club World.” Located outside of the south exit of Sugamo Station. This street is home to a few suck shops. At least three accept foreigners. Academy is the smallest pinsaro on the street and possibly in the entire city. The sign for Academy is in Japanese and reads “アカデミー”.

Just inside the door there is a small window to the left. It looks like a ticket window in an old movie theater. This is where customers pay their entrance fee of 5000 Yen ($34 USD). That is if they can find someone.

At certain times the window is empty as the manager is away doing something else. Since the place isn’t very busy it is possible that they simply just get bored and wander off. They can’t go far however as the entire place is smaller than many living rooms in the United States.

After customers pay their fee they are led inside to one of three booths. These booths have the standard blowjob bar benches which are padded. The floor is checkered and there is a small disco ball hanging from the ceiling. None of this builds a party atmosphere however. The place looks more dead than alive. The staff doesn’t necessarily help with that perception either.

Women and service

There are a few women who work at Academy. Yet at times there may be only one on staff. When I first reviewed the shop in 2017 the women working inside could only be described as old or in some cases perhaps elderly. Thien Phu is one of the many goi dau hair wash slash massage places in Ho Chi Minh City. It is situated about halfway down a street that happens to be home to many places of its type. There are several other places scattered around the city including some other rather large concentrations too. This Thien Phu is not be confused with the previously reviewed Thien Phu that was once located at 49 Nguyen Phi Khanh.

While there are a lot of similar shops in the area each place does have its own unique character. If they didn’t customers would wander in whatever shop they came across first. Perhaps that does happen but it just as common to hear about people bemoaning the loss of their favorite shop such as when Thien Phu closed a while ago.

As luck would have it some of the women who worked at Thien Phu migrated to other places with similar business models. One of those place is Thien Phu where at least two of women who used to work at Thien Phu appeared after that place went out of business for whatever reason.

Thien Phu is marked by the same kind of signage as the other businesses of its type around. Customers not keeping an eye open might lose sight of one place while looking for another. Many even have similar names though thanks to some foresight and city planning none of the places have the same street number.

Inside Thien Phu looks like a somewhat disheveled hair salon. The dozen or so women on staff make use of the barber style chairs and other flat surfaces to lay about in between the arrivals of customers. Most of the women seem to be in their twenties though one or two might be older. The ladies range in looks from average to attractive and none are overweight. They all wear matching dresses that accent their appearances.

Price and procedure

After customers enter the shop they either take whichever lady is next in line or select one of the service providers on their own. After that they are guided up a flight of steps to a larger room. That room is subdivided into cubicles. Quynh Anh is one of many hot toc goi dau in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 1. These sorts of venues are quite common in the city. They have been described in some detail on this website over the years. Yet the majority of shops of this type have not yet been mentioned here.

There are many adult oriented businesses in Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam. They can be found all over. Yet they do not advertise in English. In many cases they do not advertise at all. This leads to a surreal situation in which western visitors looking for sex complain that it is difficult to find in Vietnam while some Vietnamese authorities simultaneously bemoan the widespread availability of commercial sex.

Location and layout

Quynh Anh is located at 111b Nguyen Phi Khanh. It is immediately next to the previously reviewed Tuan Anh. The place shares the name of a Belgian-Vietnamese singer but most people probably call it by its address. This is common in Ho Chi Minh City.

Nguyen Phi Khanh has been well known as a center of hot toc shops for years. There are several located along the short street. In recent times the strip has become more popular with foreigners. Locals still make up the main customer base. But its not uncommon to spot Western men walking up or down the street.

Quynh Anh has a green exterior with a sign and some neon lighting. The actual entrance is recessed and well back from the street. That leaves space in front for customers to park their motorbikes. It also provides a place for a tout slash security guard to sit. But at Quynh Anh that is not so common.

Immediately beyond the entrance there is a small lobby. Beyond that there is another room. The women on staff wait around in both places. Upstairs there are several rooms of varying sizes. Some are small and others are quite large. They are separated by frosted glass walls that do not go all the way up to the ceiling. So sounds can easily pass from one area to the next. The walls are decorated with wall paper but the individual quarters do not have sinks.

Women on staff

At most times there are six or seven women working at Quynh Anh. They are all Vietnamese. The ladies range in age from early twenties to perhaps early thirties. Unlike some other hot toc goi dau the women at Quynh Anh do not wear matching uniforms. They sport tight fitting dresses that look quite nice but they are assorted in color and style.

All of the women provide the standard service rendered in these kinds of venues. That means they guide customers to the massage tables in the private areas. It seems to vary between service providers and situations.

The house fee at Quynh Anh is 150,000 Dong ($6.50 USD). Customers are expected to tip their service providers on top of that. Thien Huong is another one of the many hot toc goi dau in Ho Chi Minh City. There is nothing distinct about the shop that helps it stand out from the numerous competing businesses in the immediate area. Still the place does seem to do brisk enough business to stay in operation. The market is clearly not over-saturated.

While foreigners are perhaps most familiar with places like Benny’s and the recently reviewed Quynh Anh there are shops of this sort all over the city. Indeed this local incarnation of the blowjob bar can actually be found all over the country. It just happens to be more common in some areas than others.

Location and layout

Thien Huong is located on Nguyen Phi Khanh street in Ho Chi Minh’s District 1. The short street has become known as a sort of “blow row” as it is filled with numerous hot toc goi dau shops. A total of eleven such businesses have now been reviewed on this website. As far as I know this covers the entirety of men’s hot tocs on the strip.

Each business on the street has at least one sign out front. Usually there are several signs posted along with flashing neon lights. On top of that a tout will often be posted out front calling on passing guys to come in. This can make shops easy to find. It can also help them all to blend in.

Thien Huong has a clear sign featuring the name and street address of the shop. It also has signage with various other words and phrases posted in the Vietnamese language. This sort of thing can be confusing for some. That may be one reason so many people simply refer to this place and others like it by the street number. So someone might talk about “90 NPK” rather than saying “Thien Huong” specifically.

Inside Thien Huong is rather nondescript. It has old green tiles on the walls and the standard staircase leading upstairs to a service area. There semi-private booths are separated only by some thin walls that do not connect to the ceiling or the floor. So sound can flow easily from one booth to the next. Each booth does have its own hair washing sink which is common but not found in every single hot toc.

Staff and service

At any given time there are between six and ten women working at Thien Huong. That includes the large and rather boisterous female manager who seems to have run of the place. The working women themselves would probably be described as average by many. Still other men may find at least one or two of the ladies working at the shop to be gems or real beauties.

The gals on staff wear matching form fitting dresses. This is common at hair salons across the city. Some places have actual uniforms while others simply require the women working to put on tight dresses. At Thien Huong the staff is color coordinated. Tourists and those who aren’t well versed in the operation of shops like these may pay more. That’s especially true since there are no posted prices.

Conclusion

Thien Huong is one of the many shops of its kind on Nguyen Phi Khanh street. With so many similar businesses operating more or less next to each other it takes a lot for one to stand out from another. Thien Huong basically blends in with the background.

It seems likely that a significant amount of customers simply chose Thien Huong randomly from the numerous options on the street. The place doesn’t really have any special features or staff that would draw in specific or repeat customers from what I can tell. Then again people have various tastes and one man’s hovel is another man’s castle.Two-and-a-half stars.

Van An is one of the many hot toc hair salons in Ho Chi Minh City. Located well outside of the beaten tourist path it serves a mainly local customer base. Prices are ambience reflect that of course. So it is a good example of what this kind of shop is normally like.

This is the sort of nondescript place that foreigners usually do not mention or even notice. Indeed many locals probably overlook the place too. Yet it remains in business with a regular stream of customers. And it even has listings on the local Vietnamese directories.

On the surface these kinds of places offer facial massages and hair washing. That’s why they are called hot toc goi dau. Literally this means “cut hair shampoo”. In reality and behind closed doors however these places are known for offering blow jobs without the aid of hair dryers.

Location and layout

Van An is located in District 2. It’s on the north end of a small road that connects two more major thoroughfares. There is plenty of traffic yet little in the way of traffic jams. There are all sorts of businesses around. Van An is marked by a sign and some minor neon lighting. Otherwise it blends in with the retailers around it.

The front doors are open to the street. Yet you cannot see into the place when passing by. So it is public and discreet at the same time. Unlike other hot toc shops such as Kim Yen, the doors are not normally locked. So customers can walk right inside.

Ladies at Van An

Beyond the doors there are no pretenses. Despite the services listed on the exterior there is no barber style hair cut setup at Van An. Instead there is a small makeshift lobby where two or three women sit and wait for customers. They wear the kinds of form fitting dresses that are standard in most businesses of the kind.

None of the women working at Van An are set to win any beauty pageants. But it is not a retirement home where women who can’t make it elsewhere are put out to pasture either. The gals in the shop are in the middle of the road. And in Vietnam that means they are comparatively on the attractive side considering their age and profession.

The women all appear to be in their thirties. They don’t have an obvious distaste for either their work or their customers. But they aren’t necessarily enamored with it all either. As is common in Vietnam they simply doing the work they are being paid for.

Service and summary

Customers are taken to a row of booths in the back of the shop. They have walls and doors yet there are not totally private. Sounds and such could theoretically be seen and heard from other booths as the walls do not go up to the ceilings. Yet that would require a rush of customers which seems highly unlikely.

Service is similar to other shops of the sort. Each woman has their own way of doing things. But typically the start by instructing their customers to drop trowel. That is followed by a quick clean up. Then they move their kit around to reveal a little skin and go to work. They stop after the logical conclusion.

The house fee at Van An is 150,000 Dong. And the typical tip is 50,000. That comes out to a total of 200,000 VND ($8.56 USD). This is what the vast majority of customers pay at this shop and some others like it. There is no special fee for foreigners. Yet in some shops now well known by foreigners fees of 400,000 or 500,000 are now commonly requested.

Van An is easy to miss. And for locals who live, work or play in Saigon it must be just as easy to forget. That is because it is like so many other similar shops in the city. There is nothing to make it stand out from the pack. But that may very well be by design. As they say in Japan, “the stake that sticks up gets hammered down”. For this run of the mill men’s hot toc a two-and-a-half star rating seems most fitting.

The BJ Bar under review here is located on Bun Kanchana in Jomtien. It is just a short walk from Jomtien Beach. This makes it about a 10 minute trip from Walking Street by vehicle. The place is about half way up the Soi. It is easy to find with an open front and a big sign that reads BJ BAR over the entrance. There’s even a picture of a set of ready red lips displayed for those who don’t read English.

Inside you find a good number of ladies. Especially considering the size of the bar. As mentioned previously, it is not a huge place. At the same time there is plenty of room. Customers can have fun in the bar, having drinks with the gals or shooting some pool. For more intimate activities there are private rooms attached to the facilities.

There is no public action available in the bar. At least not that I am aware of. Since it’s an open air bar that only makes sense. With the bar having closed quarters available this isn’t really a problem. In fact I would wager that most customers prefer it.

That said some of the women here are quite handsy with customers. And good at it too. Having an experienced lady work her magic without drawing any attention is one of the more exhilarating things a man can experience.

Staff, service, summary

It seems there are at least a half-dozen women working at this BJ Bar in Pattaya most times. There is a bit of a variety among them too. Though they are all fit and pleasant from what I have seen. Some blowjob bars are pure business. Customers walk in, get what they came for, and are shown to the door. While the same service is available at BJ Bar, the venue has more of a relaxed atmosphere. In other words BJ Bar is the kind of place you can visit for fun, pleasure, or both.

I have been to more bars than I can count. In Pattaya alone the number of adult oriented facilities is simply astonishing. Most places are run-of-the-mill joints that tend to fade into the background. Once in a while I discover a stand out. BJ Bar is one of those exceptional spots. The name drew me in. The ladies made me a believer. The overall experience will make me a regular. Four-and-a-half stars.

Pinocchio’s Club is an old school pub in the Patpong section of Bangkok that you won’t find on Facebook or Google Maps. A remnant of the past, this bar has over time transformed in various ways. Today it is a quiet hole-in-the wall that is mainly known as a blowjob bar.

This Pinocchio’s Club is not to be confused with the other bar or the restaurant of the same name. Collodi’s famous tale must have been well known in Thailand. Either that or people just like the name.

Those who have been around a while may remember Pinocchio’s as the deserted looking ladyboy bar a few doors down from the infamous Star of Light. After Star of Light shut down some of the ladies who used to work there made their way to nearby bars including Pinocchio’s to continue on tradition.

So today a guy can walk into Pinocchio’s and order up some oral sex from either a lady or ladyboy. No one is knocking down the door to get in. But the place must be doing enough business since it remains open.

Pinocchio’s in Patpong

Pinocchio’s is an old bar in an old place. I’ve written elsewhere of the long and storied history of Patpong. The adult industry centered in the area has really fallen hard in recent years. Unless you count the growing crop of gay bars in the area. Still Patpong does contain some go go bars like Bada Bing along with dive bars such as Linda’s Place and Pinocchio’s.

While Pinocchio’s is clearly marked it might not be the easiest place to find for the uninitiated. It is set back from the street and behind a bunch of other small bars and shops. If you know where to look you can quickly locate the white wooden sign that is probably older than some of the people reading this. Otherwise you might need to consult a map and retrace your steps a few times to reach it.

Inside, Pinocchio’s is set up in a very unique way. On the left side there is a bar. On the right side there are small booths against the wall. The place might seat a dozen people at full capacity. Though it seems to hold just one or two most times.

There are a handful of people working the place. You never know who will be there when you arrive. Typically one or two older Thai ladies will be working alongside one or two ladyboys. Sometimes there will only be ladyboys around. Especially late at night. Whoever is inside always seems happy to drink with customers. Though they are probably more prepared to blow whoever comes in and sits down.

Getting sucked off in Silom

Getting head at Pinocchio’s requires nothing more than strolling in and asking for it. It’s likely that the staff works on a rotation so that everyone gets a turn. But customers are free to select from the available team to get sucked off by whoever strikes their fancy.

I can’t speak to the suck service from the ladyboys. Though at least two old pros from Star of Light have taken up their trade at Pinocchio’s.
